Georgia fans: Which qb do you personally want to get most of the playing time?

Yes, I know it's the coaches' call, I know Fields hasn't yet proven anything (but he looked pretty good in the spring game), and I expect most of you will choose Fromm (as would I at this point), but I am curious how many of you, if any will admit it, would prefer Fields.

Fromm unless he starts fricking up.
How is this even a question?

I have lived in Georgia most of my life and most of my friends are UGA fans. A few of them think Fields is the better qb, gives UGA a dual threat advantage, and will start by the end of the year.
"How is this even a question" reminds me of some Jalen Hurts fans at this time last year, though I do think that Fromm is better than Hurts.

Hoping Fromm improves as a sophomore, because if he has a sophomore slump he’s finished. Fields is damn good.

Whoever is winning games.

I'm in the minority in that I want Fields used in some situational packages this year because of the added dynamic he brings, but Fromm has earned the job and he's damned good.
Plus, he has rapport with all of our receivers and we haven't had a second year starter at QB since Murray. (Except for Eason, but you know)

Since the ncaa didn’t approve the limited play redshirt deal, I hope Fields redshirts. I don’t want him burning eligibility because Fromms shoe fell off or some shite.
But if Fromm is laying an egg or gets legitimately injured, burn the redshirt and let the chips fall where they may. Just like how Fromm got the job from Eason.
Backup qb is always a popular guy.

I only casually watched some of your spring game and don't know the qb depth. Fields excluded, who is your backup qb and does he look like he could get it done if Fromm went down? Frankly, that's academic and a moot point, because if Fromm does go down, any plan to redshirt Fields will be forgotten.

I think a lot of us want this.

Stetson Bennett and Sam Vaugn are the other qb’s.
Stetson is scrawny in physical stature but throws a pretty ball. He was our full time scout qb last year so has plenty of experience vs our defensive 1’s.
He got some reps in Spring game.
I know nothing about Vaugn except his hs won the FL state championship and he is also apparently not awful.
Both are preferred walkons.
ETA Terry Godwin was a hs qb and I know there are some trick plays drawn up for him.

SEC quality depth at the qb position, beyond the first 2 guys, seems hard to come by these days. All the blue chip players want to play and they want to play now. The ncaa easing up on transfer rules may exacerbate the situation.

Stetson will be just fine handing the ball off and throwing little slants etc, in a limited backup role but he’s not going to win a game for us. If the shite hits the fan and the game is on the line or Fromm is out for extended period then it’s gonna be Fields.

In the minority, but Fields.

Play them both.
Fromm is the starter and will be until he gets outplayed.
But fields needs to play. I'm not a fan of redshirts for most kids. NFL players don't stay 5 years. The redshirt just cheats them early reps that they can use to improve during the year and next offseason.

I think redshirts work out well for a lot of quarterbacks.
Obviously if Fromm gets hurt for any serious length of time or in any big game, you have to play Fields, but if he’s healthy I want to stick with him.

Agree to disagree.
Fields fits the mold of an NFL qb. Size, armstrength, and mobility.
Even with the redshirt, he is getting a degree in 4 years and moving on to his chances in the nfl.
Smaller guys (Aaron Murray ) or less talented guys (Joe cox/Hutson mason), it makes sense. But we aren't recruiting them anymore.

Stetson got my attention in the spring game also.
