Except I am a UGA. I am not pretending. I just happen to hate our coach due to years of under performing in big games then actively fricking us out of a trip to the national title game because of his bad coaching late game vs Bama.

If me hating Richt makes me not a UGA fan then everyone in the UGA forums saying we should fire Mark Fox is also not a fan yet I do not see you calling any of them out with false accusations.

If your other UGA forums are like Hogville is for Arkansas, then your argument is invalid

If we fired him after 2010, we probably would have ended up like Auburn or Tennessee when they dumped Tubberville and Fulmer, respectively. He essentially played for the National Championship last year, given that whatever team won that game would win it all. He just missed out in '12 '07 and '02. 5 SECCGs, the most of any team during his tenure. 2 SEC titles, tied for 2nd most during his tenure w/ Alabama and Florida. We haven't been in any sort of real NCAA trouble under him. Our players, other than a select few, have never had any SERIOUS legal issues.

He currently has a pretty good staff. Has won two consecutive division titles. He has beaten UT three consecutive times. He has beaten UF two consecutive times and is 3-3 in the last 6. He has won two consecutive times against AU and 6 of the last 7. He has beaten Tech 4 years in a row and is 11-1 against them overall.

USCe is his current Achilles heel, but I wouldn't trade him and his staff for Spurrier and the USCe staff. The only coach in the league that I would prefer to have over him is the obvious choice and Richt is 2-4 against him overall.

The offense he has this year is one he's probably been waiting to coach for his entire career at UGA. He could easily reverse the USCe streak this year and be right back in the thick of the National Championship race if he opens up 2-0.

There are more than a few things I wish he would improve and a few areas in which he is lacking, but who the hell is doing a better job right now besides Saban?

Nope, it's the fact that you bitch about everything UGA related and you make stupid arguments like saying Richt's win total is bloated by his easy SEC East schedule. One could say this the last two years but that's about it and if you were a real fan you'd know otherwise. Unless you're 12, which would make a lot of sense.

ETA: And just looking through a few posts confirms it. You actually predict that UGA will have at least 5 losses next year and will be similar to this year's UT.

I like Richt. I think he is the perfect coach for UGA. UGA as a whole fan base enjoy winning, but are not as obsessed with it as places like Bama. To be honest, I think Richt and co did a far better coaching job than just about any other group last year. They played toe to toe with just about everyone while spotting every team they played 10-20 players. Even with the effective self-enforced probation numbers, the coaching staff was willing to lay it all on the line by benching some of the best players and parts of a very thin secondary to uphold the punishment that NO OTHER F'n TEAM is willing to dole out for the first 2-4 games.

And to those who actually follow UGA football already suspect that the coach taking over after Richt retires will be Bobo.

He has been a very good coach overall. I like him right now. At the same time if UGA starts losing I won't be happy. He bought himself plenty of time with last year.

Really good, not elite. Don't think it's worth it to try our luck with someone new because we could go down a lot easier than go up.

He however the last few years has proven he can not win the big game and his dumbass decision to not let Murray spike the ball directly caused us to lose to Bama and not go to the national title game. That alone should have got his arse fired.

frick Richt for ruining our best chance to win it all since 1980 due to his usual shitting in the big game. We will never again win the SEC under him and certainly never go to the national title game.

In short he has had his time to prove he can get the job done. frick Mark Richt.

You are a complete and utter moron. Please leave.

FOx hasn't done anywhere close to what Richt has done.

Underachiever but still a damn good coach

Agree with this. Richt is a solid coach and really the ideal coach for Georgia short of no NC so I can't call him a great coach yet. I have 2 main issues with Richt: lack of discipline on his teams and not recruiting well enough in our home state especially in the trenches where it counts.

Who is better out there on the market?

Outstanding developer of young men but needs to get the lucky break to land in the MNC game.

To all of those reading this that aren't Bama or USCe fans:

he's better than your coach.

That's debatable.

Edit: And before you or any other UGA fan (s) bring up the 0-2 against Richt, remember who Richt started out 0-2 against.

Very debatable. He is a damn good coach though. He did win the East the last two seasons. Only 1 team can win the SEC title and he ran into some juggernauts

I don't know anyone who thinks that, and I would be irate if that happened. If that does happen, it tells me we whiffed on our first 7 or 8 choices.
