A good buddy of mine who is a huge UGA fan wants him gone. He said he has had his time to prove his worth, and he isn't worth much Personally I like him. What say you, Dawg fans?

He is a good coach. You don't average 9-10 wins a year by accident, especially in the SEC. He keeps putting UGA in position, he will get the luck to fall his way eventually. And for all the Richt naysayers; I would like to know who UGA would hire (that is available) that would do what he has done.

There is also something to be said for the unwavering stability he provides. I think you could poll 100 UT fans right now, and 99% would kill for that right now.

Not a Georgia fan, but he seemed to really prove himself this year. It's really hard to say. I think he's average, but sometimes I think it's worth it to take a chance on another coach.

Really good, not elite. Don't think it's worth it to try our luck with someone new because we could go down a lot easier than go up.

I like Richt. He'll get over the hump, and I think he finally has the coaching staff to do it.

I like him but I still wish he was gone. However, I see the dumpster fire that is UT and it makes me really gun shy about it.

Yep. That's pretty much how I feel about him. Like someone said, I think he provides a lot of stability and you would rather have that than not now what to expect with a new coach.

A coach who has a bloated record due to beating on the many bottom feeders we typically get due to being in the SEC east + always scheduling Tech.
He however the last few years has proven he can not win the big game and his dumbass decision to not let Murray spike the ball directly caused us to lose to Bama and not go to the national title game. That alone should have got his arse fired.

frick Richt for ruining our best chance to win it all since 1980 due to his usual shitting in the big game. We will never again win the SEC under him and certainly never go to the national title game.

In short he has had his time to prove he can get the job done. frick Mark Richt.

I was born in Georgia if that counts. He has had his chances and just lacks that get it done attitude. Too quick to go to the excuse rather than having the emotional intelligence to look past the uncontrollable and remain focused on the prize. Needs a top tier DC to go with the O they have right now. Like the Braves of old - they had great hitting or great pitching, but never both.

Mark is a quality man, no doubt, and he wins a lot of games but he is honestly a conference champ or two coach and might, might sneak out a crystal ball eventually. But not going to compete for that with regularity.

Everyone blames Richt or Murray for not spiking the ball. Why didn't Georgia go for 2 on their last touchdown? If they failed, they still would have needed a touchdown to win the game. Also, let's not forget Georgia's defensive performance and Alabama's gifts. Saban mismanaged the clock before halftime, there was the back shoulder pass intercepted in the end zone, there was a PI flag thrown that was overturned because the ball was considered tipped. After that PI call didn't go through, Georgia blocked a long range field goal, caught it, and returned it for a touchdown.

tl;dr Georgia only scored 21 on the Alabama defense. Alabama put 32 on yours and left a few more on the field.

What? Georgia left more than a score on the field? I just want to know why the media and fans haven't debated why Georgia didn't go for 2 on their last touchdown? Just think about it. If they'd gotten the 2, then a field goal would have sent the game into overtime. If they failed, then they would have found themselves in the same situation as what actually happened, i.e. passing down the field quickly with little time.
