Good Lord, if that's not a recipe for a died in the wool UGA hater I don't know what is. Only thing that could make it worse is if he got his phd from florida.

That now makes 2 confirmed posters that pretend to be UGA fans that actually aren't. This douche and werewolvesofathens who is really an ole miss fan.

I don't get it, why not just represent your own school and talk shite, why pretend to be a UGA fan to do it?

And to those who actually follow UGA football already suspect that the coach taking over after Richt retires will be Bobo.

I don't know anyone who thinks that, and I would be irate if that happened.

Better prepare yourself then WG.

This scenario reeks of typical conservative GA hiring practices.

bad coaching late game vs Bama.

I thought we covered this in December
The pas intended for Mitchell on a play that has worked for us 98% of the time. Only problem was Mosley tipped and Conley reacted on instincts
We had Bama reeling on that drive and went for the kill.

Not really. If this was about 5 years ago I'd agree, but we've done things a little different lately. I think we really learned a valuable lesson after the Martinez experiment. Whereas we promoted from within after BVG left and it bit us in the rear, after WM we went out and found the best guy we could and landed a great one in Grantham. We've also cast a wide net including the NFL to get other recent hires like Olividatti and Belin. When Richt is no longer here, I would be SHOCKED if we didn't scour the country, college and pro, to find the best candidate available, going to Bobo ONLY after we struck out on all of our other top choices.

There simply is no reason whatsoever to promote Bobo to head coach simply because he's already here.

I agree with you, but Bobo will get his shot. That I have no doubt.

Belin.
He came from Vandy but I get what you're saying. I'll still believe it when I see it though, if and when Richt retires.

I stand corrected, I thought for some reason he had an NFL background. At any rate, the past few hires have shown we'll reach out to the best rather than just saying "I've coached with you before and know you, wanna coach here?" like we did in Richt's early tenure. That's a good thing.

The only way you could have NO DOUBT is if you're McGarity or on the hiring board. I'm not saying it's impossible, because it is possible. But he damn sure won't be in our top 5 candidates.

This is your hope. We'll agree to disagree.

I don't know man, I hear a lot of rumbling from some people who seem to think he's the next coach.

I just think that'd be the same logic as saying "When martinez gets fired as DC, Garner will be the next in line". But he wasn't, Richt said ok let's go find the best person we can. Candidates we looked at were Smart, Diaz, Koening, etc. before we ended up with a true NFL guy. I just think that we will first look at getting the best possible man for the job, and if we whiff on the big names, we would only then settle for Bobo.

Great coach, not an elite coach. Also handcuffed by his Athletic Dept's obsession with revenue AKA lack of spending, to compete at elite levels
