Have seen some negative reviews on the stadium itself. What were y’all’s experiences?

ETA: aggy I’d like y’all’s opinions also. I bet y’all had fun for one half

Incredible, my favorite overall college football experience. The setting, weather. Tradition. B2 flyover all were incredible and I do not know how we got so picky about stadiums. I don't go for the vending, I go for the game.

The stadium is old, so the entrances are small and seats are all kind of not flowing like newer stadiums, but that give it a lot of charm as well. The suites are nice and updated and the views and weather are almost always spectacular. Sit on the West side if you can.

Tallboys are apparently 16 bucks a pop

The Bama and Auburn people that have talked to me about it absolutely loved it

How far up were you sitting I should have mentioned it in OP but I was wondering about the views of the field from the seats

Not a UGA fan, but was there for Auburns NC

Loved it, although the town around it is sterile as can be.

Loved tailgating on the golf course. Its a big bowl, so you can be low and still be a long distance away from the field.

The UCLA fans apparently dont cheer at all, according to the season ticket holder that sat next to us.

Stadium kind of sucked. Everything else about it was nice.

The stadium feels much smaller than it is because it is not steep or tall. You can check out the views here.

It was a fun trip but the stadium is in a residential area so it's absolute hell trying to get out.

We took the train into Pasadena. We stayed in Santa Monica across from beach then drove to train station. Was easy for us

Very long bathroom & concession lines that cause a lot of bottlenecking / congestion in the main walkway areas and expensive beers. There really just is not enough space inside the stadium walkways for the capacity it holds. I'd have no problem watching a game there again but if I had to routinely go for full games it would get old.

That place is simply out of a dream. The setting, the stadium, the stakes whenever anyone is playing a bowl game there... and more often than not the games played there are insanely dramatic.

My favorite college FB experience as well.

Same with the colliseum when we played there, too. LA traffic is just hell regardless. So you better hope your team wins while you're there, or it's a looooong ride home

I haven’t been but based on what I’m seeing and watching games on tv, it seems like the old cotton bowl stadium with mountains in the background

I guess it really depends on your section/seat. I was chugging beer all day and went to the bathroom probably 4 times at least, never really waiting. I went to concession a few times as well and didnt wait any longer than I would at a braves or Auburn game

Yeah I know I am not a Georgia fan. I was not at the 2017 CFP semifinal game at the Rose Bowl, but I did experience the actual game back in January 2003 when Oklahoma defeated Washington State.

The day started off bone chilling cold while watching the Tournament of Roses Parade. It eventually warmed up to the seventies for the game. We walked from the parade to the stadium. The atmosphere was electric inside and outside. The pageantry of the game was the best I ever have experienced. I have not been to many games the last several years but as a 37 year old, I would rate these as my best experiences, not counting home games:

1. 2003 Rose Bowl vs. Wazzu
2. 1999 OU at Notre Dame
3. 2003 OU at Alabama
4. 2004 Sugar Bowl vs. LSU
5. 2005 Orange Bowl vs. USC (before the destruction)
6. 2001 OU at Air Force; mainly for the pregame flyovers
7. 2002 OU at TAMU (damn Reggie McNeal)
8. 2001 Red River Shootout
9. 2004 Red River Shootout
10. 2008 Red River Shootout

Were you one of the Oklahoma students that camped out on The Quad?

I stayed at some roach motel in Oklahoma City when I traveled to Norman with friends for the 2002 Alabama-OU game.

I went to the game and, despite the first half, it was all fun! There is NOTHING like the Rose Bowl game, its atmosphere, the parade is in a league all by itself, it was all fantastic.

The stadium, of course, is old. But, it was in fine condition when we went. It's beautiful and it has the most beautiful views of any bowl game...the San Gabriel Mountains are snowpacked while it's 80 degrees at the stadium. So nice.

Georgia had just over 50% of the fans in the stadium; that 2nd half was simply awesome.

Dawgs are now 2-0 in the Rose Bowl Game...we beat UCLA in the 1943 Game, 9-0.

Yes, but the difference is the Cotton Bowl is in the hood, not on a golf course in Highland Park. With beautiful weather almost guaranteed.
