Been telling my fellow Auburn fans to watch thUGA, cause that’s Auburn’s future. Gus keeps playing the legacy, and we’ll be watching Gatewood take his transfer school to the playoffs. Meanwhile, Nix will still be overthrowing wide open receivers and throwing interceptions.

Well yes but hindsight is 20/20. Last season Fromm was coming off a national title game and was beating out Fields in practice. It's pretty hard to justify starting a true freshman over a guy who was yards away from winning a natty

Did Finebaum say Fromm can't handle the pressure like he did with Trevor Lawrence after the UNC game.

No you do not run a modern offense. WTF are you watching? Hell even Buck Belue said that offense is outdated today. Save that shite. Y’all are running the 2009-2012 offense that Saban was running until Manziel, Cam Newton etc started beating Bama then Nick joined the spread party. A spread offense had OL pulling with lateral concepts. What y’all have is big slow guys who aren’t athletic enough to do anything but try to block straight and try to mash. That’s why big doesn’t always mean good.

Plus, Kirby Smart and Chaney told Fields they would adapt the offense all the way up till he signed the LOI. Then when he got there the did no such thing and tried to jam a square peg in round hole. That’s why you saw the frustration. He was sold a bill of goods full of shite by Kirby Smart. Kirby needed that #1 recruiting class.

What is the best defense that Fields has seen?

Those Big 10 defenses are slow. Nebraska's defense was dreadful against OSU.

Wisconsin beat Michigan State 38-0 without much of a pass game. They only attempted 21 passes.

Yes, but hiney sight is always 20/20. Quite simply, Fromm looked like the better QB at the time and had a great season as a Freshman. So Kirby would have needed a leap of faith to go with the more gifted/athletic QB. Fields' attitude certainly didn't help him fit into the equation. But I think Kirby had indicated to Fields that basically he would be the 2nd string QB behind Fromm. And I absolutely understand the talented Fields not being willing to wait his turn.

Fields wasn’t the right fit for our offense unfortunately. He had to work too hard to read the defenses so he does better in the spread. If we would have had the appropriate offense then It would have been nice to keep him.

Are you, as a a Clemson fan, really criticizing level of competition right now?

He’s reading defenses, going through his progressions and shredding them. Also this legs are a real weapon.

This Georgia running game, online and defense combined with Justin Fields in a modern offense and y’all are the favorites to win the whole thing.

Clemson's stars on offense have gone against good teams the past two years.

Has Fields?

You really made a stupid off topic comment b/c you are butthurt jealous of Clemson. you guys are obsessed with Clemson's schedule.

I pointed out that the best defense Fields has faced is Michigan State which could not stop a Wisconsin team that doesn't pass it very much. You didn't respond to that point.

Your tough test game was against the 8th best team in the SEC. your goddamn right I’m jealous.

Your team was graft last year. And you lost the strength of your team with that dline. 2019 Clemson hasn’t done shite.

you are a dumb redneck.

Last year the defense gave up 500 passing yards to Mond and Jake Benntly. You and other SEC homers no doubt Clemson had no shot in the playoffs because of the defense. lol Alabama probably thought that too. I think those interceptions shook em and they couldn't recover. They didn't see that coming.

The defense has been better this year so far. I think it has been the best defense Clemson has had the past 20 years, 6 games in.

little big mouth redneck sidewalk fan, this topic isn't about Clemson and you being butthurt about Clemson.

Clemson beat UNC who beat SC who beat UGA at home. Seems like a weird point in time for your meathead talking point about schedules.

I think Fields is a good player but I'm pointing out he hasn't played that many games yet.

I've pointed out several times that I think Fromm is a little overrated. I view him similar to Charlie Whitehurst, a good QB but not a star QB.

If Fields were at UGA, our offense would open up a lot with him keeping the RPO 10 times a game. With Fromm, the defense isnt worried a bit about him keeping the ball for a long run because he never keeps it, and even if he did, he is as slow as a QB can be.

Acting like this doesn't happen at every major football school is naive.

Fromm wasn’t the problem. Eason and Fields are the easy answer. When your oline doesn’t block, you have horrible play calling, and no experienced receivers, Saturday’s in the NCAA happen. It is what it is. Fromm unseated Eason and Fields had a year of not being able to unseat Fromm...both went to much easier conferences and I wish them both well...but neither have won a big game.

Our offensive line is diggity dogshit and we still somehow have a functioning offense in spite of it.

Both would be less of problems for opponents than Fields.
