Georgia Fans be honest- You wish y’all would have played Fields?

Fromms a great guy and all but Fields looks like a generational talent. Bama made the move from a Jalen to Tua. Do you wish y’all would have?

I’ll say as a 3rd party bystander, Justin Fields scares me a hell of a lot more than Jake Fromm.

Fields was not a great fit for that old school offense. He made the right decision going to Ohio state in a modern spread RPO offense.

Agreed. Ohio state has the right coaching staff to help fields exceed

Kirby wants to still play the same type of ball that was played in the 2012 SECCG. That’s a fun style of football, but that won’t win you much these days.

At least you’re honest

I might be wrong but I thought I remember you being a poster that actively called for fields to play more

I don’t think there was a legitimate competition. I wish there had been.

Fromm did essentially the same thing Saturday as he did in Baton Rouge last year. Fields should have gotten a shot then. He might still be here if he had.

djs wanted Fields way before it was cool and received a lot of flak for doing so -- but I see the argument from both sides.

You have a True Freshman QB who isn't doing terribly and takes you to a National Championship (although I still contest that it was Michel and Chubb who carried that team) and hasn't looked bad outside of a few games.

It is very hard to make the case for a True Freshman who doesn't fit the system, but just to make another argument:

Kyle Trask is completely outside of Dan Mullen's QB style. He hates Quarterbacks who can't run, but we've retooled the offense around the best QB on our roster. When Fields was in the game, I just don't think Kirby had any idea of how to correctly utilize him.

In the end, I'm happy that Kirby took the job and they didn't offer it to Dan Mullen.

If Mullen took over that kind of talent and then got Fields to Georgia, they would be almost unstoppable.

Agree. I don’t know how much difference he would make in this offense. Now if they opened up a little he would be great. I sometimes wonder why he went there.

Just asking, was he told they were going to change the offense to better fit him?

He came to UGA because he believed he would beat Fromm out as Fromm is very limited athletically.

I wish Kirby had the balls that Dabo or Saban had to roll the dice and go with the talent/upside over the safety and higher floor.

I don't think Mullen would have the same talent level at Georgia that Kirby does. Kirby and his staff are ace recruiters. Mullen isn't. It is a case of the guy who can get the most talent or the guy who has less talent but gets more out of it.

I think if there was at least a semblance of a competition he would have stayed. Kirby never gave the kid a chance.

Yeah Fromm is a little limited. Didn’t know if he was told they were going to change offenses or not.

Did he go to Harrison? My brother use to work at Lassiter so I am kind of familiar with that area.

Kirby just got that sweet mouth don't he?

Protip: Kirby isn't an elite recruiter because recruits like his throat, he's an elite recruiter because he's at UGA and boosters opened their wallet and let the cash flow.

Whether you want to think that flow isn't going to recruits is fine, it 100% went to the recruiting budget.

Mullen would have a championship team at Georgia.

I don't think Georgia or LSU fans could agree with that one. I was sick of that shite from Les Miles.
