Yet they are ranked #7 and there are doubts about a national seed.

D1 Baseball latest projection has GA as the #4 Naitional Seed

2. Vandy
3. State
4. GA
5. Ark

I think Georgia should be and is a lock to be a national seed. So are Vandy, Arky and Moo State. All four are rightful national seeds.

That's how it should be, but it wouldn't surprise me if the committee was petty about having too many SEC teams.

Arkansas played a harder schedule and won the deeper division.

ok so what does RPI do? and why is georgia higher in it than arkansas?

Feel free to write a strongly worded letter asking why, you can check SoS for yourself. RPI isn't nearly the factor in baseball as it has been in basketball and even for basketball it's starting to be replaced by other metrics.

Perfect example is Tennessee having an RPI of 11 and will more than likely be a 2 seed in the tournament instead of hosting with the rest of the top 16. RPI means next to nothing in college baseball.

Much like in football it’s perception.

Georgia typically isn’t in this discussion and MSU-Ark are bigger baseball names.

I worry that someone will get fricked for no other reason than they don’t want half the national seeds to be SEC teams.

We are #6 in a lot of polls and computer projections have us as high as the 3 or 4 seed.

Were disrespected by the human polls (D1Baseball, Baseball America, etc) because of Head to Head record with Tech and MSU but otherwise there’s little to hold against us. Fortunately human polls don’t amount for shite in the grand scheme
You don't think that half your baseball team are figs will impact your seed?

I'm sure this will be factored in to the seedings.

I posted the picture just so you would know it was time to make the joke... Good work.

ETA: if anything about l&h's posting history leads you to believe he is college educated, I'd question the value of an Auburn degree first...

excellent point, and it's basically the same thing that State deals with in football

there is a bias towards teams that are always in the mix

it's not "fair", but in human polls, perception is reality

Let’s be honest, Baum-Walker is one of the nicest stadiums in college (votes #1 last year). Arkansas is getting that national seed.
