Bad spots and the inability to fix them is one of my biggest pet peeves in the current game. And there seems to be no attempt to fix the problem.
Watching a pro game the other week. 3rd down. Player makes it within inches of the 1st down. Ref marks it 2 yards short. The only challenge available was whether he made the first down or not.
Because the review showed he did not make the first down, the team lost the challenge and the spot of the ball doesn’t move to the correct spot.
4th and 2 and 4th and inches late in a close game are orders of magnitude different. Yet the nfl and college rules are like oh well fug off.

Overall, refs have been fairly even on give and take.

CBs have it rough already. To me having your head turned around shouldn’t matter. WRs push off every play and rarely get called.

There it is and again I know that the score is lopsided. But any other team would be flagged for PI there except Bama.
