Yup AU paid good money for that DL. I agree.

Hardy probably just committed for the up front payment. Will flip back to UT soon enough.

You seem to be suggesting that Owen got bamboozled by George into playing for Auburn thinking he would be playing with his best friend. If so, George did you guys a huge solid

I mean, I get why Auburn would be mad at him but he made the decision. What is his beef?

There are literally no quotes in the article mentioned in the OP from George Pickens. It is entirely AJC speculation.

I didn't read the AJC article but I think they (as usual) playing to their UGA fanbase and I assume saying how it'll be emotional for Pickens because he was committed so long and had such friends in Owen and Bo. Remember they recruited with each other and visited with each other to schools and played 7v7 on Cam's team together. Just a long friendship between the 3 especially between Pickens and Owen. Like I said he shite on Owen not letting him know he was flipping and letting him drive up to Hoover High to sign with another team.

Owen was solid to AU and stayed that way. We as a fan base don't give a crap if someone flips but there is a certain way you should handle it with coaches and friends you recruited to the other school.

This. ^^^^

Auburn fans act as if they are the only ones this has ever happened to. We've lost our share of them on NSD, too.

It's not even the NSD flip. It's the not letting anyone know he was flipping. Most that "flip" on signing day let the coaches know 2-3 days in advance. That is the issue and if you or UGA fans don't know that then ya'll some fools. I'm an old form high school OC and know the Hoover program very well. I'm sure Josh was super proud of his boy George. I know the AD Andy as well... and he was like that's typical George. I won't include what else he said

Clearly not. You're own board has this classy quote about hoping he gets hurt, and with 20 up votes.

quote:

I wouldn’t mind seeing someone go Junior Rosegreen on Pickens.

And another one in this thread. Such class.

Hope he gets the reggie brown treatment across the middle.

If he had flipped from UGA to AU in the same manner, y'all wouldn't have a problem with it.
