Already got about 3 or 4. Here is another one.

Lsu should win at least 9 or 10 games most years.

Playoffs every other year or 1/3.

Expectation is to compete for the playoffs annually.

If that ends up meaning you make the CFP 50% of the time, you take it. I’m realistic about LSU, NIL era, etc. Saban completely fricked up coaching expectations.

We should still be in playoff contention in week 13 more years than not.

12 team playoff, if we're spending on the roster like we did this offseason, we should absolutely still have a playoff shot this week.

We should have been in the playoff this year. The coach got fired for failing to do that.

To be competitive and bring back physicality.

From the responses, a lot of LSU fans here seem to expect to be in playoff contention almost every year. Kiffin is already doing that at Ole Miss. I thought Kiffin was supposed to be able to do more than he can at Ole Miss because of the limited "ceiling". He will have finished in the top 12 in 3 of the past 4 years, so LSU is basically just wanting what he has done at Ole Miss which is weird considering they have more resources.

This, we always expect double digit wins, and a high tier bowl. Just put a good quality product on the field. We always will have Talent, just need the coaching. We should consistently challenge for the SEC title and now with 12 team playoff any top 10 team is in.

To be competitive, finish in the upper echelon of the conference, qualify for the CFP and compete for a championship.

And give him LSU’s talent and resources and maybe he actually gets to the SEC championship ever other year and maybe the NC. We see potential to get that much further, well some of us do…

Yes, that is the floor. LSU should have a shot at the 12-team playoff late in the season more years than not.

OP's troll attempt didn't work, so you're trying the same thing from a different angle.

With 12 teams (maybe 16 soon), we should be in the playoffs more often than not. A top 5 SEC team every year. And consistency.

I expect us to be in the same breath with Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, etc.

What’s your season to season expectations

Similar to baseball:

Annual goal is to at least make the playoffs for a "successful" season.

Playoffs at least 1 out of 3 years

National title game at least 1 out of 5 years

Based on these responses there is likely to be lots of disappointment on the bayou.

Why?

To this point in the season, between 2024 and 2025, there have been 8 different SEC teams ranked inside the top 12 of the playoff rankings, all the way into week 12.

There's no reason why LSU shouldn't be there that late in the season as often as not.

ETA: frick, I forgot who I was responding to. NVM, carry on.

The media makes it out that every LsU fan expects a title every year. I believe the majority of the program would like to be competitive and in the playoff at least once every two years. We just want to be competitive and heading in the right direction year in and year out.

And prior to Kiffin coming to Ole Miss, how much sustained success have they had? But now the bar has been raised so the next HC better not just win 6 or 7 games a year. Ole Miss hasnt even won a conference championship before.LSU has a history of championships & teams full of talent producing a high volume of NFL players
