Finebaum knew that suggesting Chizik as DC at Alabama would rustle 1,000 jimmies and give him a day of fun.

Whose jimmies? Bama fans?

Cuz I bet you that AU fans would applaud Chiz to Bama as defensive coordinator all day every day.

100% - especially the type who live and die with his show.

Chiz is a solid defensive coach. If he ran the same system as Saban I'd have no problem entertaining him as a possible DC. However, he doesn't, and anyone with a brain knows even if he did he wouldn't be coming to Alabama for all the reasons you mentioned.

However, the people mentioned above don't really like to use things like "reason". That's for librul elites and shite.

Chizik isn't a "yes" man. Saban runs his own defense. I think he'll either promote from within to jump-start someone's career, or hire a young up-and-comer.

Him being interested in it and Nick Saban actually wanting him are 2 totally separate discussions.

Finebaum is a jackass. He also said Malzahn was a lock to be next Hawg coach. Consider the source

He really isn’t. His best D’s were under Tubs, which we all know was Tubs. At every other stop, his D rankings were average at best. Chiz is a prime example of failing upwards.

Chizik would be a great hire as a DC for anyone. He's been one of the most accomplished DC's in the past decade. But this is nothing more than PF generating clickbait and it is beyond stupid.

Chizik quit NC to spend time with his family. He's not going to go to Bama.

That said, if he wanted to come, we'd be proud to have him. He's a good coordinator and a good man, he just isn't a good head coach.

It's done. Tosh will be the next DC at Bama.

No way. Re-branding the jacket would be too expensive and difficult to do, if genuine leather.

Screw that! I don’t GAS if Chizik is a good man, a good family man not. He is not a good DC and I never want him bringing his defense to Bama.

Pretty good at Texas. Pretty good, relative to every other defense under Fedora, at North Carolina.

2004 Texas - #39 (Pre-Chizik)
2005 Texas - #10 (Chizik)
2006 Texas - #46 (Chizik)
2007 Texas - #45 (Post-Chizik)

2014 North Carolina - #116 (Pre-Chizik)
2015 North Carolina - #57 (Chizik)
2016 North Carolina - #45 (Chizik)
2017 North Carolina - #78 (Post-Chizik)

He's not the greatest DC of all time but he's pretty solid.

I would love to see it happen if for no other reason than to get the lunatic fringe all fired up. LOL

those numbers are terrible for a defense minded coach. Why not add his time at AU?
