"Since 2011, LSU in the SEC is 19-12. And that's not good enough at LSU," Danielson said. "That might be good enough at Purdue, but at LSU that's not good enough. That's the job. When you take that job at LSU, Alabama, Florida, USC, Ohio State and Notre Dame you are measured differently than everybody else, and Les realizes that.

And that 19-12 is good enough for 2nd in the West

Patterson? That's a home run. Not sure why he's still there.

He is untouchable, nobody even knows what he makes a year.

Its a massive roll of the dice, but at least we are trying. Why stay stagnant?

Interesting comment. You do remember Dennis Franchione, Mike Price and Mike Shula, don't you?

I do. That succession of greats rolled through after we had essentially forced out a NC-winning HC. I'm still irate about all of that.

Good luck with your impending hire.

Yep. Lots of parallels between him and Les. Both are true gentlemen.

He is wrong about that, they already have the money for the buyout.

I see what you're saying but I think it's a stretch. Stallings did not quite inherit the same kind of beast that Miles did. Stallings turned it into a championship program--Miles rode a championship program down, backing in to a 2 loss championship (I think that's the only time). He really got lucky.

And Stallings won more against his big rivals than he lost--Florida got the best of him, but they weren't a huge rival.

Stallings averaged 10 wins for his career. Has Les? Even with the extra game? Stallings also went 13-0 . . that's a huge feat.

My God! You played 10 years of good football and now you sound like those idiot Bammers.

Pretending bad seasons or even bad decades don't happen down there.

I'm sorry we arrived and you have a band member as a coach.

Truth be known you 'arrived' 10 years ago, stayed 3 or 4 years and left.

What was it last year, 8-5? You're a middle of the pack team.

I know, right? Seems like a decade since we lost to Tennersee.

Actually, since 2000, LSU is ahead of every one of those schools in victories except Ohio State, and even with Ohio State, USC and Florida, in NCs.
So you are wrong........

All-time, LSU is #11 in wins and #8 in bowl appearances, ahead of Florida and right behind USC

That being the case, and Miles being the coach for 2/3 of the time frame you specified...

Seems clear he's a BIG part of you being able to make that statement to begin with

Gary doesn't get it if he puts LSU in that group.

ur right. LSU only became a power contender once Saban got there. Just wait until they start losing 6 games a year again.

Kinda like the decade before when Bammer couldn't buy a win at UT?
