How do we see the SEC hierarchy unfolding in the next 3-4 seasons?
Tier I
- Bama
- UGA
Tier II
- Ole Miss (if Kiffin stays)
- A&M
- LSU (fam - uh - lee domination)
Tier III
- Florida
- Arkansas
- Kentucky
The Rest?

There is no middle class in the SEC right now.
It's Tier 1 and Tier 3.

Make Tier 3 to be Tier 2. Make Tier 4 to be Tier 3 Add UGA to the new Tier 2. Put Ole Miss in the new Tier 3. There we have it.

UGA will not be tier 2 in football. Nice try. UGA will be in Atlanta against BAMA per usual again next year. Likely another playoff appearance.

I guess it depends how far out you want to look. One year out, looks fair. Five years out? Drop Bama down post-Saban. Ole Miss drops way down post-Kiffin. LSU back up to tier one. Georgia looks solid for years with Kirby.

In that timeframe?
Tier 1 - UGA - Bobo back, stacked for the foreseeable future. All they needed to do was win one and the dominoes will fall from there.
Tier 2 - Bama - tDecline proceeds. Lost to two former assistants this year. It’s over.
Tier 3 - LSU / aTm - Kelly can’t beat anybody in the SEC besides LSU. It’ll be amusing to watch the ways in which aTm squanders all this talent.
Tier 4 - UF - Napier gives off Butch Jones vibes.
Tier 5 - Everybody left not named Vandy. Cluster frick of a tier. There isn’t a team in this tier that will win a division title, but one or two of them will get to 10, maybe 11 wins.
Tier 6 - Vandy

I like Kiffin, but them getting their first 10 win season in school history doesn’t vault them into Tier 3. It’s basically:

This is probably the most accurate. Bama probably still deserves to be in a tier by themselves but the uga is closer to bama than anyone else is to uga right now.
