Future phase of conference realignment, is the SEC gonna take West Virginia?

They got alot of southern culture there and a huge diaspora of Appalachian and old Scotch-Irish admixture. The football team ain’t been worth a shite since Rich Rod was in his prime. Just y’all thoughts on West Va to the SEC

Would have taken them over Mizzou, but not now. Their baseball team wasn’t bad though.

They would be a better fit than any expansion team since South Carolina joined. Won't happen though cause muh tv $.

If the SEC did expand I think it would be NC and a VA school most likely.

Some of these questions or ideas hurt my head. What does WVU do in any way, shape or form to improve the SEC. Absolutely NOTHING. They actually reduce the TV money on a per school basis.

UNC, NC State, UVA, V Tech, Clemson, Florida State. Those are the realistic candidates. Problem with the NC/VA schools is they are all deeply connected, very hard to pick one off so you pretty much have to take all 4. That won't work. That's part of why Super Conferences are inevitable.

Nothing against WV, but they just do very little for existing teams in conference. Not going to raise media deals, small markets, below avg academics. They are Mizzou minus STL, KC, and AAU.

if you're going just on all around sports program, Texas Tech is best. but it's waaaay out there.
