wouldn't bank on this game being a big Georgia win.

If Kirby follows the Saban model (he will) then he is gonna have this team super motivated and ready to roll. Kirby will use the bowl prep time to develop some of the younger guys. He will play the disrespect card to his older guys.

Or he will follow the Richt model and 7 players will get suspended for traffic arrests.

I wonder will the AP award fsu the national championship if they are the only undefeated p5 team?

Maybe the barner from The People's National Champs will recognize them.

Anyone can claim anything, doesn’t make it legit. FSU knew the rules when they agreed to the playoff

I would like for gator fans to explain why they are not relevant yet again.

I would like for you to explain why undefeated matters now but it didn't matter then.

Like when Saban lost the Sugar to Utah?

We could be without our QB, TE, best WR, some Olinemen and best corner and safety among others. There could very well be a problem with want to. These bowls are less important now after what's happened the last two years for us. I wouldn't bank on this game being a big Georgia win. Texas was a terrible team in 2018. Lucked their way to ten wins. We were definitely a better team than at least one, maybe two of the teams in the playoff that year. And we lost to them because of a hangover from the SECCG.

And if you have everyone and still lose, it’ll be because of the hangover from the SEC championship game again. We’ve seen this movie before.

Is that worse than losing to Florida State twice in two years?

Just asking.

Absolutely chickenshit if it’s that bad. I get sitting out the Birmingham Bowl, but that shouldn’t happen in a NY6, as meaningless even granted how meaningless non-CFP has become.

That’s why all power 5 underfed conference champs should be in playoffs

For this last year of 4 slots the committee should have had the integrity to continue the precedence of including all P5 undefeated teams.

FSU checked all of the boxes.

Texas and Alabama are sloppy seconds.

What boxes?

Being undefeated is one. What are the others?

Not really, no. This isn’t one of their stated criteria.

I would like for FSU fans to explain now why they, as a one loss team, got to play Nebraska at the end of the 93 season over West Virginia, who went 11-0 and won their major conference.

It’s incredibly ironic

quote:

The possibility also still existed that an undefeated and untied team would not get a chance to play for the national championship. This occurred during the 1993 season. Nebraska and West Virginia both finished the season 11–0. West Virginia ranked #2 in the final regular season Coaches Poll (behind #1 Nebraska), but was ranked #3 in the final regular season AP Poll (behind #1 Florida State and #2 Nebraska). The margin between West Virginia and Florida State was large enough to drop the Mountaineers to third in the Bowl Coalition poll, forcing them to settle for a berth in the Sugar Bowl.

I believe FSU is ranked 4th in the AP poll.
