Does it make sense? No
I guessing you know nothing about the actual situation

This started because Warren Thompson was pissed about quarantine and not knowing who tested positive.
I'll take the word of the team leaders backing the staff over a moron like Thompson

This could definitely happen which is crazy! they should be thanking their staff and universities for providing them with one of the safer environments in the world.
Just to add a disclaimer: PLAYING FOOTBALL DOES NOT GIVE PEOPLE COVID

Dumbest thing I’ve read on this webpage in a while, and I had a conversation with altie the other night.
Schools are upholding scholarships. It’s not just a few schools cancelling, it’s entire conferences and it’s not even 100% certain even the SEC will pull off a season
They would get their asses handed to them in court

No they won’t.
How in the hell are you going to get past the fact you didn’t have to play? Not only did you not have to play, your full scholarship is still granted if you don’t play
Not only that huge hurdle, how do you show where you contracted covid? Becuase when you sue, the defense will pull witness testimony, video surveillance from restaurants and stores etc and show you were going to those places as well
Look, I know y’all love to think how easy it is to sue and win in America because “McDonald’s coffee”, but this shite would be a case almost impossible to win

Another dumb comment from you. Not gonna feed you every reason, but a few:
Players sign liability waivers when they sign up to play. They are not allowing waivers for Covid.
Go read up on the MLB situation. They can definitely contract trace enough for a civil suit.

Defense attorney to player
“Were you given the option to not play and still remain on your scholarship?”
That is A GIANT HURDLE
We don’t even need to get into how impossible proving where you received the virus from is

FSU and Jimbo sold their souls to keep the rapist Winston in school. They deserve everything they’re getting.

I remember. She had much more of a case than people suing for cancelled football would.
Not necessarily. Think about it. The only way they can make it to the NFL is by playing football in college. Sure, it is not mandatory, but the number of people that have done it is zero, as far as I know. Some players could increase their stock exponentially by having a great year. Think about where Joe Burrow would have been drafted had he not played last year.
I am not saying they are right. I am saying they can make a case. In some cases it could conceivably cost some players $1,000,000.00 or more.
There are tons of frivolous lawsuits and lawsuits with very little merit brought all the time. The McDonalds
suit was merely a jumping off point....not meant to necessarily build an argument based only on it. Read some of the other cases in the link and I think you will see what I mean. Anybody who does not believe we live in a "Sue first, ask questions later!" world is wrong.
Here is another link to even more frivolous lawsuits:

Playing college football legally has nothing to do with the NFL.
Nothing.
Nothing.

I know enough. She spilled coffee that was too hot on herself and spent something like a week in the hospital for skin grafts. She was awarded almost $3 million dollars in damages and it was eventually reduced to about $700,000.00.
Okay. The coffee was too hot. She spilled it on herself. You guys want to focus on this one case when there are examples of literally thousands out there of frivolous lawsuits. (Yes, literally....and no I am not going to pull up thousands of links to support my claim, because you know, or should know that in a country of 400 million people it is the truth)

This is 3 players that should have been kicked off team previously. All troublemakers. One tweeted, then deleted. Caused constant dissension. A lot of the team has come out in support of Norvell and staff this afternoon.

Can you name the players who have played in the NFL without playing college football? I get what you are saying, but realistically it is the only avenue a player can go to play in the NFL. There might be some example you find, but the percentage of players that played in the NFL without playing in college would be almost non-existant.
Add to that that there are rules that prevent players from being drafted into the NFL until their HS class has been graduated for 3 years and it kind of pokes a hole in your argument.

Who really deserves the blame for what FSU has become? Is it Jimbo? Taggart? Seems like the culture was turning toxic while Jimbo was still there but i figured a slimeball like Norvell could turn it around. I guess not.
