An Auburn poster accusing another program of cheating is why the Spiderman pointing meme exists.

When only a handful of B1G and SEC teams were paying players, no one was freaking out like this.

Now that everyone is paying players, you guys are like......

exactly this ^^^

When programs who had a lot of money yet reluctant to play in the mud were floundering for decades while a handful of SEC schools traded out dominating the sport all you guys were fine with it. Now that SCOTUS has spoken it's time to play catch-up while you guys drown in tears.

If you've been paying attention the past two seasons CFB has already changed, but once the pads are on and stands filled...that part is the same and all of you crybabies will still be watching.

If I want to watch professional paid athletes I’ll watch the NFL.

Paying players works if your team is having elite success.

Once that dips the fans will be out so damn fast.

Same. Don’t really care anymore. It’s too expensive to go to games. Back 2 Back was fun. Would’ve been just fine watching from home.

We loved the kids who wanted to play for our respective schools. Now it's literally hired mercenaries who may be around a year

Only because you choose to sign mercenaries because winning is the most important thing to you.

If it's a choice between signing a good 3-4 star QB from Auburn High School with a 4.0 GPA who went to every AU camp and home game and had Bo Jackson and Cam Newton posters all over his bedroom or a 5 star #1 ranked QB prospect from California who can barely spell his name, the fans will take the 5 star.

You're not willing to sacrifice winning to do things the right way. You will pay coaches $100,000,000 contracts. You will pay players NIL money. You will sit your fifth year senior RB for a portal transfer who's a little better.

The players don't have a damn bit of power UNLESS YOU GIVE IT TO THEM! They can't get a scholarship if no one offers it. They can't get NIL if no one pays it. They can't transfer if no one accepts them. So quit doing all that shite.

What you really want is the NCAA or Congress (or whoever the frick) to essentially put you in straight jackets and padded rooms to protect you from yourselves and your addiction to winning.

There's not one thing stopping Auburn or Alabama or Georgia (or whoever) from signing good kids who are good athletes who love your school and value an education. You might not win championships with them, but they are there to get and would be fun to see compete.

But that's not good enough for anyone. You would rather sign the dumbass with otherworldly athletic ability who's never been to your state and only wants to use your program as a stepping stone to the NFL - because, man, we gotta beat Bama.

Fans are the fricking problem.

There weren't any rule changes.
thats just a straight up lie. refs stand over the ball and allow the defense to switch players if the offense substitutes. The frick you talking about dumbass. that WAS a new rule change. Where the frick were you?

quote:

So basically you are crying because Alabama demonstrated institutional control with cease and desist letters and self reporting violations?
bama players were getting paid for NIL when there wasnt NIL. Stacks upon stacks of signed jerseys, hats, cards, suits. In other words, you fricking cheated.

Not even sure what the frick your ESPN crying in the middle of that is about.
so basically, you were a teenager at the time and have no recollection of events other that victories on the field.

To be honest, I think you are a butthurt bitch who needs excuses to cope with reality and your opinion on the topic doesn't really mean shite
when clearly you are the butthurt bitch for not being able to take the truth in stride. Alabama and Nick Saban cheated their arse off to achieve success. Its a fact you will have to deal with when you get a little older.

quote:

In reality, what happened was people pushed for the portal claiming teams like Alabama would suffer because they "couldn't force people to stay on the team"
this goes back further than the portal you child.

Can you even name the last time Auburn was on probation for cheating? Were you even alive then?

So no, you didn't know that Auburn has been busted for massive cheating on 8 separate occasions. As many as Bama.

Not since when? 1993 when Bama paid our player to record Ramsey begging Pat Dye for money? Not a single infraction since. Can any of the Universities say the same? Not Bama, not LSU, definitely not Florida.

Gators were just on probation dating waaaay back to 2020
