What I can say is that our field is located right next to our big river that flows through, so the water table is probably pretty high. It wouldnt shock me if the ground gets over saturated pretty quickly
Well, yeah, def empathize with you there. Alex Box is a couple hundred yards from the MS river

It makes for a nice venue, and location but I have to imagine the outfield gets waterlogged, at least in a few spots

Glad the LSU/Georgia and Florida Kentucky start before the Hog game.

Yeah, our softball stadium had to do what baseball did a few years ago because of all that, resurfaced the entire field and installed a better drainage system

As the residential guru of SEC baseball... what do you think of the season thus far? Ole Miss and Moo State having such dire issues is a bit of surprise but I think LSU running into problems late in the season is also up there.
I still think LSU, top to bottom, is the best team in college, but their pitching staff appears to be held together by the fervent prayers of the coaching staff and Great Value generic scotch tape.

No guru here, just a fan.
I am giving Ole Miss and State a pass after winning the natty. If they stay down for another year then I would start to worry. The conference is deep this year. I don't think we are as strong at the top as in previous years, but very strong down to 10-12 teams. Missouri and Georgia can take a series from any team in the conference.

A lot of it has been mental lately. We def have issues with bullpen depth with so many injuries, but guys who had been reliable most of the season have been having issues now too. It's like the whole team has been in a funk the past couple of weeks, not just one guy. Frustrating for sure.

Alabama up 6-0
Alabama may backdoor themselves into hosting. If they sweep, they'll be 16-14 with a top 10 RPI. Gonna have an argument at the very least

Pretty incredible considering our piece of shite former coach purposely lost games to make a few thousand bucks.

They have played good ball all year, but they've gotten over the hump the last few weeks since Boasshole left.
Part of that may be the coaching changes, but a lot of it is the young pitchers have figured it out - both starters and pen.
Also dear gawd Ole Miss is bad. Their approach at the plate is the clearest sign of a team that is just ready to be done as any I've ever seen.
