He wasn't that impressive in his last season there as the HC.
The team was 8-0 and had just beaten Arkansas for their 100th homecoming. They were doing very well for the season. And then word leaked that Auburn was pursuing him as head coach and we went on a four game regular season losing streak and finished with a bowl loss. Finished 8-5. Roster then had a 50% turnover.

And yet here we are at 13-0, the CUSA champions (first year in conference play) and in the Fiesta Bowl.

We had a good team. We suffered from poor leadership at the end of the 2022 season.

The main problem is Freeze couldn't beat NMSU!

No it really isn’t.

How could he not be prepared to beat a weak NMSU?

Talent should’ve been enough to beat them, although they weren’t a weak team.

I am also looking at what he did at Liberty.

Are you looking at the team he built at Liberty playing Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl?
I’m not putting too much stock into year one. I do hope he takes over play calling next year though.

How are you going to play UGA and Bama close and get BLOWN OUT by New Mexico State and Maryland? I can understand the argument that fAU losing to UGA and Bama was due to a lack of talent on the roster, but getting BLOWN OUT by New Mexico State and Maryland speaks to a deficiency in COACHING. No excuses for those two results.

Again you’re dodging the question. Name the Auburn players, particularly offensive players not named Jarquez Hunter, that would even see playing time at any other SEC program.

Did he say the same thing when he lost 42-3 to TCU?

I am looking at the bowl game today. How did he do? He sucks and you know it. he will get one good game in then the next he would flop big time. Same old Freeze.

Look he doesn't care to put 100 percent on all the games. He picks and choose which games he wants to try to get a win. This will be the same for next year too!

AU is in a bad spot talent wise but they’ve proven they can compete.

Your coach only getting up for the big games isn't competing. Right now he's mastering in moral victories.

I hope not. Talent will be better in key positions but you never know

This has been a pattern all season. We have a big recruiting weekend and follow it up with a dud on game day. After how the last staff recruited (or lack thereof), recruiting was the top priority. Harsin and Co. actively burned bridges with high schools in the state and southeast, either out of incompetence, arrogance, or neglect. But at the same time, it does not appear that trusting Montgomery to formulate the game plan so Freeze can recruit is working. Freeze needs a good recruiter as OC so he can focus on offensive game planning. Calling the offense as HC has worked everywhere else he’s been, no need to reinvent the wheel.

They were 8-0 and had just beaten Arkansas for their 100th homecoming when word leaked that CHF was in talks with Auburn. The season then imploded and we lost five in a row to include our first bowl game loss. In the coming months 50% of the roster had to be replaced by the new coaching staff.

Just a little bit.

Yes, that's what you're doing.

You say fAU is bereft of talent, yet you can play UGA and Bama close. So why are you getting blown out by teams like NM State and Maryland?

Too soon. You need to make more random, benign posts for a longer time before you resume your Saba/Bama bashing. You’re not fooling anyone barner Tommy.
