It is a bad look for a coach to say that. Just stupid. It seems like a few Auburn fans are already turning on him. That is a bad sign for him.

He really was not. He was still a shitty coach after his offense went by the wayside.

I remember him routinely throwing his players under the bus during the AL.com message board days as well.

Maybe it's another AU tradition. They're all about those.

That really wasnt his thing. There has been a few that took the brunt of fan's frustrations after the season though by carrying on with the is this his offense, is this his OC's offense speculation.

No, he is an average HC that beat Nick Saban and Alabama from time to time just like Gus.

Have you not watched the Auburn team at all in 2023? Where’s the talent? Show me the players on this team, especially the offense, who would even sniff the field at almost any other SEC program. Jarquez Hunter might be a in the RB rotation at some schools. But other than him, the cubbard is bare as shite on the Plains when it comes to SEC caliber talent.
Maybe, just maybe you develop what you’ve got, scheme to put the players you have in the best position possible to be successful and recruit talent to help your existing roster? Idk, maybe you mulitask and do what multimillion dollar head coaches do every day?

You damn sure don’t tell the public that you’re removed from your roster and ignore your players because you’re spending your time on recruiting. Hugh needs help from AUs PR department.

Classic Freeze, more classic Auburn, most classic tigers in general. Bulldogs closing in fast.

Freeze hasn't been able to do that. Same thing about Gus. Freeze is just another HC similar to Gus.

Have any of those offensive coaches had success after Auburn. I was watching a lower tier bowl game and one of Gus’ former Coordinators was the OC. Don’t remember the game or team, But I think the coaches name was Loeffler or something like that.

Ps. as a Bama fan, initially I was more concerned about Gus than any other Auburn head coach since Pat Dye. His offenses could be impossible to stop at times. But from a distance, it seems like he was stubborn and got away from the things (a running QB in particular) that made the offense so successful and it appears like he refused to adapt. I could be wrong, but it seems like the offensive plays design were the same every year with little or no change.
