It would depend on matchups.

FEI Overall:
Bama: 8
OU: 11

FEI Offense:
Bama: 9
OU: 46

FEI Defense:
Bama: 9
OU: 4

If it’s Ty Simpson from the last couple games it’s probably a toss up.

If it’s midseason Ty Simpson most coaches aren’t gonna want to play the team with both units in the top 10.

It doesn't upset me. I knew Bama would be a tough matchup against our secondary which has become more risk/reward as the season progresses. Y'all ran better, passed better. Your defense played more than good enough to win. Ours played good enough, got a couple breaks, and our kicker is a weapon.

I don't disagree.

Your kicker is much better than ours, that's for sure. Ours has turned into a liability. Going into that game he was 100% inside the 40, but not so great beyond it. Then in that game he missed the easy shot(it didn't matter that it got tipped, it was poorly kicked already).

And then last week he missed another chip shot as well with no real pressure on him. I'd love to have your kicker. It was a large factor in the outcome of the game.

I was surprised at the success we had moving the ball. That's why even though we lost I felt better about the team as a whole. I did not expect us to move the ball well at all. We had struggled at times against better defenses. I was wonder if anyone would score over 10 points.

So even though we lost, I felt better about our offense after the game. We were in the top10 for turnover margin, so the fumbles and such weren't really characteristic of the team.

Special teams though - we aren't good there.

I was starting to think that big TE y'all have (Cuevos?) would be the end of us. That dude's got a nice NFL career ahead of him

If he can learn to block a little better he's got a bright future.

Unfortunately he got injured last week in practice or something and is out now. I think he's out for Auburn for sure and might can return for the bowl/playoffs.

Big loss for us. Reminds me of OJ Howard in terms of catching the ball and getting yards after.

What happened in the Texas game?

Same thing that normally happens. OU is 51-65-5 vs Texas all-time.

OU QB Materr was 17 days from hand surgery and had very limited practzice that week and no practice since before surgery with the offense that played the game…..

Matter wasn’t ready , physically or mentally…..He said he wanted to play but he was not prepared….IMO..

OU owns Alabama. It’s really that simple.

Anyway, congrats on your win, but stop asking me to pretend it was because you were a better team.

If only there was a way to prove it on the field in a game.. oh wait there was lol.

Congrats on your win guy whose understanding of football doesn't go beyond the scoreboard and is unable to watch the game and get meaning out of what it shows and says about your team for the future.

I don’t agree with you, but I respect your opinion. In the SEC a win is a win and I’ll gladly take it. The offense is horrible I’ll give you that. I think OU can beat LSU and win a playoff game or two. I’d say it’s highly doubtful they can win it all. This team is like a complete opposite of the 2018 team which had an awesome offense and a horrible defense. Eventually they’ll have to score some points in order to win.

So easy, you would think you could get at least 3 points in the last 5 drives, right? Our defense got better as the game went on. This was no fluke. Your QB was off his game because our front 7 were all over him.

Do you know what a fluke is? A fluke is needing double overtime to beat Kentucky and MSU…

You understand you’re white knighting for Tennessee with this dumbass comment, right?

Bama should have had plenty of motivation after that game in 2024. It didn't appear to help after the first half.

Venables even said after the game he was calling defense more aggressive in 2nd half.. First half defense calls were pretty bad to be honest. Way off the ball.

We scored 7 points in the last 5 drives...

You scored 6 in yours.

We will gladly accept the scoreboard win, and you can take the "beyond the scoreboard" win.
