LSU played a healthy(take a look at all their injuries), motivated, a team that still was in the playoff hunt with something to play for.
There is a vast difference in Texas that night and the one they fielded for Baylor.

This is not true. AU led at the end of the first quarter, took the lead again in the second quarter, tied at halftime and took the lead again on the opening drive of the 3rd quarter.

Facts are facts. OSU beat ranked teams by an average of 25 points. LSU beat them by an average of 12. Even less if you want to pretend that a 5 loss Texas team is somehow a ranked opponent. OSU played teams with a better overall record than LSU, AND OSU didn't play any FCS teams.
This isn't even debatable, unless the inbreeding of your French Cajun ancestors has made you incapable of logical thought.

According to LSU fans beginning in 2011, being the best team is irrelevant. You can't, in good conscience, make this argument, as your fellow fans are even posting about it tonight (8 years later) on multiple boards.
