Fowler is a fantastic statistician and he is analyzing the contest between the two teams in a purely analytical fashion.
He is just seeing what his own eyes are telling him. And his eyes are telling him that Indiana has completely dominated teams like:
Old Dominion
Kennesaw State
Indiana State
Iowa
Michigan State
UCLA
Maryland
Penn State
Wisconsin
Purdue
He was super impressed the way that Indiana manhandled Iowa on the lines and cruised to a 5 point mauling.
The 13 point incineration of Old Dominion was a stark example, to him, of the future greatness as the season progressed and his observation of them.
What really pushed Fowler's man buttons was the absolute murder of a long time and dogged interstate rival in Indiana State by a score of 73-0.
He has viewed the tapes and looked at the #'s. Bama is in trouble.

Right brother and I was told by many on this forum that total yards and stats don't matter, it's the final score.
See OU vs Bama in November for reference. Alabama doubled them in total yards but lost the game.

Yeah but that’s not what you’re talking about….youre talking about an arse whooping. Consistently getting your defense run up and down the field 75 yards a clip to get the lopsided result IS an arse whooping. So yes while a blocked punt, a TD drive starting at the the opposition’s 12 yard line, and a dropped TD pass counts the same as a 75 drive TD and is part of the game, it’s far from an arse whooping.
The fluky shite I’m talking about can easily be rectified and cleaned up, being systematically run over, such as a true arse whooping…not so much. Bama lost the game but the reason it was lost can be fixed, see Oklahoma part 2.

I would offer Indiana better do the same or a few Bama breaks/scores could get that game snowballing in the wrong direction for them and I would be very surprised if they could comeback from a big hole.
