From Chronicle:

While Texas coach Steve Sarkisian has enough to worry about with No. 5 Georgia visiting Saturday, his program has a chance to make an impression on some of the nation’s top high school players during what will be a key recruiting weekend.
According to several recruiting sites, more than 40 four- and five-star recruits from the 2025, 2026 and 2027 classes will be invading the 40 Acres for one of the biggest SEC matchups of the season as the No. 1 Longhorns try to remain undefeated.

For college football, the limit will be 105, so schools can add an additional 20 scholarship athletes in that sport, if they want to.

Y’all probably win this game, we haven’t looked the part of a champion this year, but how bad is it gonna be in Austin if you don’t?

The old guard SEC fans in this forum are going to hate Texas taking it over.

Once again, wish I had a few Airbnb properties in Austin, or even surrounding area.

I really don't know how 6th Street musicians can keep doing what they do...or where they live. Even east Austin has priced out the starving artist types.

Edit- good bartenders can still make a decent living in ATX, and will do especially well this weekend with some Euro types that arent used to tipping and put way too much in the jar, lolz

Just happy to have a seat at the SEC big boy table. I see more parity rather than anyone “taking it over” but it’s definitely be nice to finish strong this year.

whether it is this week.. or next week.. or later this year.. or some other time.. we will come crashing down and it will be a spectacular shite fest around here..

but I’ll be here with my clown costume on..

but until then.. the burnt orange kool-aid is definitely flowing like a river throughout my whole body.. it’s been a minute.. hope it sticks around a bit longer..

What do they show them on the recruiting visits now?

One of those big casino checks?

Not with 40 four and five star players.

While not an insane number by SEC standards, showcasing a prime-time atmosphere in Austin will check a major box in recruiting circles. Winning would check another.

Or could do the opposite with small town recruits who prefer a more laid back college town atmosphere. Either way it will be a great day..or at least I hope it is.
