Funny considering A&M and USC are currently the biggest cheaters in the SEC according to the NCAA...

Did you listen to what he had to say, or did your knee just jerk?

He was talking about the Albert Means recruitment and the suspicious death of Logan Young who was under FBI investigation for money laundering when he died.

The only thing missing from that was a bottle of Budweiser in front of his old arse, and country music blaring in the background. I've heard more of those kind of stories from dozens of X-coaches and athletes than you can shake a stick at, and they get bigger and wilder every time they're told...One of the best I've ever been around at spinning'em is Curley Hallman.

SOS contacted UA and filed a formal complaint with NCAA. That was his part in that situation. Fulmer was heavily involved with the bidding and provided info (with help from a certain recruiting site writer {TC}). to the NCAA in exchange for immunity. Fulmer went above and beyond what a coach in the SEC should have done which is why there was much anger directed at him, the UT Program and the Recruiting Site Writer.
As for the Means family, yes they cooperated so AM could be given a mulligan for his stellar gpa and enroll at UMemphis. West was the new coach at the time and while at a Luncheon where he was the guest speaker, he (West) was asked about AM situation by a guest sitting at our table. All he said (paraphrasing) is that AM will get a fresh start at his school, and that they really needed a caliber player such as AM in their program.

The Logan Young stuff is old news. We all know about him falling up the stairs. I was hoping the old baw would provide us with new information.

The question I always had was why didn't opposing coaches turn other programs in more often? There's only two reasons I can think of:

1) It didn't happen as much as we think.

2) No coach wanted to turn someone else in because he knew he was in on the bidding too. It was a mutually assured destruction kind of thing.

Either way, I'm glad it's legal now and out on in the open.

You believe he's really illiterate?

A deadbeat dad, sure, but actually incapable of reading or writing?

Can you sign your name legibly and still be considered "illiterate"?

The “problem” he refers to was the revelation that occurred during a hearing in Judge Steve Martin’s Hamilton County, Ohio, courtroom last month regarding delinquent child support payments in excess of $110,000. James Brooks could not read the court documents; this after graduating from Warner Robins High School in Georgia in 1977 and after spending at least four years at Auburn University in Alabama.
When asked by the judge how he graduated from Auburn, Brooks said, “I didn’t have to go to class.”

Except it isn't. Spurrier got pissed about Travis Carroll and Justin Smiley.

Travis Carroll, ironically, ended up transferring to Florida.

I love all the Tenner C fans clapping as Kiffin commits a violation by wrongly accusing Florida of a violation.

No... Us older folks no how to spot a stupid person better than the younger fans and have realized that the stupid person loves his stupidity to the point that he will not change, regardless what facts are shared

Well I don't know anything about that, but I know that Spurrier had the athletic director send letters to anyone who was involved or even associated with the violations during the Charley Pell days telling them that they would be disassociated from Florida athletics if they involved themselves with any recruiting activities, and he then removed anything signifying the 1984 SEC championship on the stadium or in our record books.

So if he cheated while coaching at UF, he damn sure made it hard on himself.
