The NCAA has never forfeited and/or vacated a single football victory at Auburn.

The Auburn football program has not been sanctioned by the NCAA for a major infraction since 1993. It has not been sanctioned for illegal recruiting since 1979.

And according to the NCAA Major Infractions Database, the Auburn football program has been convicted of committing 5 major infractions in its history, good for only 5th place in the SEC.

How does Alabama stack up against the above facts?

Dumb post. Who cares. Makes no difference anymore as this is all legal now.

Quit bitching and whining. Built your program to compete w Bama. As an Aggie fan, I have respect for Bama and Saban. Yes, we look up to them as we want to be them....just like everyone else. However, Aggies do not make excuses. We may not be there this year...but it is coming.

And I even have to give Bama credit. True or not. If true, they got away with it! And nothing anyone can do about it.

The dumb part is people not understanding that there was a mos maiorum of "cheating" and the schools that got in trouble were the ones that went beyond what was considered in good sport.

Auburn has spent so many seasons under bowl ban because they felt like they had to break norms to catch up and surpass Alabama. Notice how Alabama's biggest spat of NCAA problems were during a period where it is was clear they were losing ground to Tennessee and Florida in the 90s. Notice how Ole Miss decided to get serious about competing in the SEC and ended up getting skullfricked by the NCAA a few years later.

Its interesting that after I provided a link to the actual NCAA source proving that the Bama football program has been sanctioned for Major Infractions more frequently and more recently than AU, none of you cared to comment on it. Particularly since the OP was about Bama paying players and getting in trouble with the NCAA, not Auburn.

Talk about ‘dodging the facts’.

Auburn is the most probation'd, most bowl banned school in the history of the NCAA. Who cares who had the most recent "trouble" when it was 20+ years ago. The fact remains that Auburn and all their down home boys are a time-tested criminal enterprise of college athletics.

"Straight Flush" is appropriate user name. This diatribe makes a claim which no one ever heard before doesn't back it up with any link, then asked someone else to do the work. Proceeds to get salty when proven false, Can't make this up.

Don't you dare bring up Big Cat Weekend or Tiger Prowl, Cam Newton being declared ineligible for violating amateurism rules, the changing of Michael Dyer's grades, money for Darvin Adams to come back his senior year, HBO's Real Sports, the changing of Jovon Robinson's grades, or the NCAA investigation of Trooper Taylor and Curtis Luper.

Because all of that happened under Chizik, and Auburn wasn't sanctioned by the NCAA for any major infractions as a result, so none of it counts.

Also forget about anything related to Bruce Pearl.

Well, it's not legal in the sense that the schools can pay players straight up. It just brings the bag man system more in the open.

If you think the OP was a "bitching and whining post" then you need your "How do I interpret the tone of a post on the internet" meter calibrated...

Built your program to compete w Bama.

If anyone try's to build their program to compete with Bama, they are going to lose to bama. What programs really need to do is find ways to out maneuver, out think, out play and out smart bama. You won't beat them at their own game.

This is the funniest thing posted on the rant today. Congrats.

You left out the part where they paid for Roobin and his mom and daughter to move to Auburn, got his Mom a job, paid for a AU Tat ang got his grades fixed only to have him flip back to Bammer

The "Request Admin" button should include an options for:

1. Subject has been beaten to death
2. Information is older than most players playing today

That was my point.

Our football program hasn’t been sanctioned by the NCAA since 1993. Bama’s has, mutiple times.

Our football program has been banned from postseason play exactly 2 seasons (1993 & 1994) in the last 40 years. Bama’s has been banned for 3 (1995, 2002 & 2003). They’ve also been retroactively stripped of an SEC West title for 1993, and had they won the SECCG that season would have forfeited that as well.

Auburn has never forfeited or vacated a football game for NCAA violations. Bama forfeited 8 wins and a tie in 1993 and vacated 21 more games from 2005-2007.

I know all these facts are uncomfortable for you. But confront them you must.
