No chance I’d draft this kid in the first 6 rounds.
You are stupid then. Now if I am rebuilding a team from scratch I would likely not draft him first round because I would have so many other needs. But if I have a solid roster and need a QB he would definitely be worth the risk even with his injury history. Because if he can stay healthy you are set at QB for awhile.

he just doesn’t have the mental or physical toughness to do it.
I get that his physical toughness is in question but I have not seen anything that would make me question his mental toughness. Dude has been hurt many times and keeps bouncing back.

Seriously tho, how many athletes have fricked up parents of some kind? I think this is incredibly common .

A ton. But how many of them openly talked about their dad beating them with a belt in high school for throwing a pick? How many times have they done a national interview when they’re about to be a professional athlete and be as timid as they come talking about he didn’t know how he ended up at a school? It’s all very Michael Jackson-esque. I hope that kid gets the away from his pops and flourishes in the NFL. He seems like a good dude.

I know right, it's terrible when kids and teens listen to their parents. Someone needs to step in before they ruin their lives.

Yeah, I can't even imagine how much shite NFL and college staffs deal with from the egos of (some) players and their parents.
Will be interesting to see how much access Galu, Tua's dad, has to him in the NFL. He's obviously been pretty involved with every aspect of his life for years.

Beating your teenager with a belt because he threw an INT is totes normal.
Tua can throw a football. The whole world knows that. But can he stand in a locker room full of grown men and lead them? Will his dad let him become a man? The NFL cares about that stuff just as much.

He had one of the most talented teams on the field week in and week out at Alabama.

Tua may eek out a good year or two before his body breaks down enough that he's expendable.
If he's lucky he'll have a Cam-like career. I'd trust Tua to dive for that damn fumble, though.

Okay, but doesn't he have as many rings as Burrow?

I remember Lombardi. He's the guy who said that Doug Pedersen was one of the worst head coaching hires in NFL history.... a year before Pedersen led the Eagles to a Super Bowl title.

Coming in cold, behind in the NC game, and leading the team to a win is a far bigger achievement than having one good season. Then getting back to the same game the next year. Pretty impressive resume.

Yes. But not as many Heismans.

Surely Tua will be picked before Burrow in the NFL Draft then

Who gives a shite where they're picked? Let's wait and see how their pro careers go.

Bruh, Tua cant even make it thru half of a college season without getting banged up, hows he going to make it thru a pro season which will now be longer than ever.
Dude has three surgeries that we know about from two seasons of play and its rumored he had five.
