Whether the trainer did something first or not, he shouldn’t have shoved him.

I understand the desire to show frustration that way, but it shouldn’t happen.

Walker shouldn't have shoved him.... but we're treating this:

As if he beat the crap out of the guy. The reality is while inappropriate, the worst injury the trainer got was possibly to his pride.

It's about the same as Jerry Jeudy bumping the ref earlier this season. Not appropriate but largely a nothing-burger.

He doesn't play for your team anymore, you don't have to defend him.

I agree with you that it looked minor and not meant to injure. Looks like a disrespect thing to me. Walker felt disrespected and showed his anger with a shove.

Still, he shouldn’t have shoved him.

Modern day football players are a bunch of overly coddled babies. Big pussies with muscles.

Needs to have one hefty fine. So much for the “love 3” movement. You don’t show him love by pushing a trainer who is trying to work on an injured player.

That's the standard at UGA.

At UGA we're "thugs" due to arrests for unpaid parking tickets and light shoves that barely cause a person to stumble.

Other programs that have players assault and murder people... no big deal.

Reminds me of UGA being called thugs when Hines Ward blocked too hard.

Quay just tweeted this

quote:

I want to apologize publicly about what happened Sunday night. I reacted off of my emotions again and take full responsibility of making another stupid decision. Since then I’ve questioned myself on why did I do what I did when the trainer was doing his job!! I was wrong!!

I understand I have to face everything that comes with the decision I’ve made and I’m definitely paying for it now.

Also to explain my frustration in the tunnel. I wasn’t upset about being kicked out, I just knew I messed up again and was wrong for what I did and couldn’t believe I did it again. To the Detroit lions and to the entire training staff including the person I did that too, I’m sorry.

I don’t know what football teams you’ve been on/around but you don’t put your hands on staff. As a player you’re in equipment that protects you from contact. That staff member is not. When I was a college trainer, if a player put his hands on one of us unprovoked he would’ve been looking at serious punishment from the coaching staff for it.

I’ve even worked for coaches that didn’t even like players questioning or talking back to staff either.
