To be fair, this dude is like 5'10 and went undrafted. He basically went all in on beating Bama and didn't really do much else.

Cases like this were bound to happen after the NIL debacle. I've pointed out before what is to keep a good serviceable college QB with no real shot at the NFL (Pavia, for example) of hanging around forever and being paid handsomely if some college team thinks he can help them win, regardless of age and number of years already played. It beats flipping burgers.

Used to be amateur student athletes couldn't wait to bolt from college the millisecond they were allowed so they could go to the pros. Now they're suing in court to be able to stay in college as long as humanly possible.

I get it from his perspective. He doesn’t really have much in the way of an NFL career in front of him and certainly nowhere near as lucrative of a contract as he could get in NIL from a team desperate for a starter.

Honestly I love this, it seems like every team has a a qb this year.
I think it may be the most competitive year of college football ever.

Very well said. What is happening now will kill college football.

It's gotten comical at this point and the NCAA deserves everything they are getting for not taking care of business a long time ago.

Sure sure, I’m positive none of this would have happened then……
