You mean the typical student that is attending on their own dime.
She's a fricking idiot.
I'm guessing she meant that with FB requirements approaching 30hrs per week that he'll have to work doing more extra stuff than the normal student
Just because the NCAA caps their time spent on FB at 20 hrs per week doesn't mean they don't go past that number
She's wrong on other issues, but not this one

Just like lady in the OP. Just because you see racism from her, it doesn't justify your own.

Her biggest complaint was the lack of education he received at Alabama.
Her solution was to send your child to a HBCU.
Football players in big programs are given the opportunity to get a good education, but also the opportunity to not worry about class to much and still graduate.
No one at a HBCU gets much of an education.
I'm not going to go into it but I have had several encounters with HBCU schools and graduates and I would say the level of education is around the 8th grade.
Not fair
There are different "levels" of HBCUs
At the Top you have Hampton, Howard, NC A&T, Texas Southern, Spelman, FAMU that have great Academics and do a great job of preparing their grads for Corp America
At the middle and the Bottom of the HBCU Genre you have schools that fill their entering classes with warm bodies so they they can push them into Fed student loans so they can get their hand on Federal Monies much like a Strayer Univ or some other for Profit college and at those schools the Academics are hit or miss
Can't paint all HBCUs with the same brush

Did the school give you the coke?

Look at southern, or SUNO...you can’t tell me that graduates coming out of there are even approaching the level they should be.

thanks to the medication.
So all of Dabo's guys do it clean and don't use the same things to keep their mental focus at a high level
Dabo was an Asst at Bama
It's likely that if Bama is doing it all of the big Schools are doing it to counteract the partying, drinking & weed smoking in order to keep guys eligible

What makes you think I give a shite if Dabo or if Bama does it?

You claimed he graduated in 3.5 yrs due to the Meds as if your school is above the fray and doesn't do the same thing
It was the tone of your reply

Biggest thing I read in that is that a coach “coerced” him into taking it. IF that is true, I have a problem with it. Otherwise, it sounds like all major programs.

If that’s how his mom is no wonder the guy turned out the way he did

I claimed his medication helped him stay focused on his studies to finish school quicker. Interesting how you turned it into more than what it was.

It's really sad and evil what they do there. As that nice lady said "win at all cost" sums saban up.
Kudos to her for having the strength to let the truth be known.

I think you guys are missing the point. Coach introduced the drug to her son with out her knowledge. In your situation with your child, Imagine your child teacher & school doctor put him on vyvanse without your knowledge. Everyday your kid goes to school he is given this drug without your knowledge. On top of that they tell him don't tell your parents. I would be pissed if a coach and university did that to my kid.

Hope you don't have a daughter. She, through school, can get Birth Control pills and an abortion without your knowledge.

Sad that Saban is assisting in ruining these players lives.

Totally unrelated to this topic, and I have a daughter. Coach’s giving drugs vs an MD giving drugs are vastly different. Plus, we taught our daughter well and let her talk one on one with her OB/Gyn doctor.
