I'm confused by the gun charge. Open carry is legal in Alabama without a permit, so why is he popped with a misdemeanor here? Because the drugs were present? Do you have to unload the gun and keep it in two different locked compartments while driving, even though open carry is legal?

Weed..... no problem. It's legal in my state. And I'm actually enjoying a hippie speedball right now as I type this (joint and a cup of coffee. I recommended a good dark roast Sumatran and an Indica strain to keep things nice and balanced).
