This guy was actually a coach? Sounds like he may be a little crazy.

Don't blame him. I didnt get to watch but if it was as dead as it seems, that's on the fans. You have to get behind your team. They're human like the rest of us. Their morale can falter too. The fans are the ones that are supposed to be there to pull em out and show that we support them. It's literally the only job the fans have. If you can't do that one job, then stay home and watch on tv while you sit on your hands.

The place was full and the team sucked arse from the second the game began. This game was 100% on players and coaches. I'm not blaming fans one frickin bit. They showed up and tried to manufacture excitement for a 8 PM, Wednesday night tip after a huge weekend win and their team gave them roughly 1 semi-decent run to really get behind. The rest of the game was sputtering bullshite and getting outtoughed on the block.

People have stuck behind this program for years and have gotten nothing but kicks to the nuts to show for it. And yet, anytime the program shows a single sign of life people show up and get after it.

He used to have a show with Auburn's Sonny Smith on the same radio station, and in the same time slot as those guys. It was really good.

a little? Don't mean we don't still love him.

Ya'll still love Pat "I get so drunk I lose my pants on the lake and they are found 20 years later" Dye and Wimp was far more successful.

Pat Dye gets lost '80s pants back
Updated on Sep 24, 2015 at 03:09

ALEXANDER CITY -- Shannon McDuffie made a surprising find on Lake Martin's drought-expanded shoreline: Pat Dye's long-lost, mud-caked pants and alligator leather wallet.

From two decades ago.

Eventually, McDuffie managed to track down the former Auburn football coach and College Football Hall of Famer and reunite him with his britches. Dye was at a loss to explain how he lost them in the first place.

"Well, I had a place in Still Waters in the early 80s. ... I don't remember losing it, but now listen, that was a long time ago," Dye told the Lake Martin edition of "Lake Magazine," which reported the discovery in a story published online Tuesday.

McDuffie spotted the green-and-blue Madras golf pants sticking out of the mud along Lake Martin in the Emerald Shores area near Still Waters last December, with the water down 15 feet below full pool.

She carried the mud-caked wallet home and washed it off. Inside were a number of credit cards from the mid 1980s, an Alabama driver's license, an honorary Alabama State Trooper card and a Delta Frequent Flyer card. It also contained a Chevron government credit card with the words: "University of Auburn Athletic."

The name on the cards: Patrick Fain Dye

From him being a constantly drunk alcoholic POS that sexually harasses coeds and university employees. Duh. Its well known.

Outside of his affair that got him fired, what in the hell are you talking about?...do you have ANYTHING that indicates that he's a drunk?....or are you just running that dicksucker as usual?

His long history of the TPD looking the other way at his many DUIs and domestic violence incidents with his poor wife.

Anybody with an in with any law enforcement agency in Tuscaloosa County then you've heard the many stories.

Hell, I have an uncle who was bomb squad in Bham in the 80s and apparently ol Wimp used to get HAMMERED DRUNK every Saturday and would call up Gene Bartows house or sometimes UAB itself to leave bomb threats for Gene Bartow apparently it went on for years and was somewhat pf a tradition as the weekend night shift entertainment

The Roundtable is one of the best sports shows around. WAY better than the morning show with Barker. I imagine those guys cracked up off the air about this.

What part of what I Just told you sounds like there's public records or links documenting this?

Is your reading comprehension even high enough to understand the phrase reading comprehension? This board never ceases to amaze me

Because he can't fight for shite.
Probably the reason he gets so physically aggressive with women when he's been drinking heavily, which is often.

Do you not realize that DUIs are PUBLIC RECORD?
Can you google ANY info saying that Wimp was involved in anything that would lead us to believe that he was impaired in any way?
You're one of these slimey cocksuckers who go on message boards and defame a person without any proof. Bring some proof to the board, or shut the frick up.

I didn't he realize he was that successful at Alabama. I remember Alabama always having a tough, very athletic team under Wimp, but never doing much. It was like he was a great recruiter, but terrible coach, similar to Guy Lewis at Houston.

Some of my most memorable SEC basketball games were between Arkansas and Alabama in Tuscaloosa when Wimp was there.

This is exactly what I'm talking about with your elementary school reading comprehension level. What does "look the other way" infer to you?
DUI is nothing but an acronym, its not a strictly legal term.

Bama coach gets plastered drunk. Bama coach hops behind the wheel, swerves all over Tuscaloosa putting countless lives in danger, he gets pulled over by a police cruiser manned by a pair of Bama fans, they drive coach and his car home.

Its a story as old as time. A Tuscaloosa tradition dating back nearly 100 years. Not sure why y'all are getting irate like y'all are surprised or something.
