Well shite. I wish I knew this was acceptable behavior back when I lost my starting spot in basketball after a lazy offseason. Unfortunately I just busted my arse to work harder and get better and get my starting spot back. I was a young kid, I don't know what I was thinking doing that though. Should have turned to drugs and alcohol.

I'm going to go a step further and call her post what it is - self-righteous social justice bullshait.
She says it feels like "winning at all costs."
Yeah, because nothing says winning at all costs like kicking the only backup quarterback to have ever taken a game snap off the team in week 3 of the season.

Seriously, the only way 'reporters' like this should be treated is to simply remove all their access to the program. No press passes, no interviews, no nothing. If they're going to write drivel like that, just nuke them from orbit.
I don't know what Auburn did or didn't do for him, but not one person on the Auburn coaching staff make him go out and get arrested the day after he came off a suspension. The responsibility for his situation lies in one place - with Mr. White.

Sadly , it is what I had heard too. Didn't want to believe it, but seems accurate now.

I feel sorry for the kid. All he has ever done for Auburn is bust his arse and bail out Gus when nobody could even half-arse throw the football. He was the ultimate team player until Gus decided to bring in Stidham and basically hand him the job. SW had to have felt used and abused and probably decided to quit busting his arse for a coach that didn't appreciate him. In 2015, he was supposed to just be a backup and an insurance policy for Jeremy Johnson, future Heisman QB. All White did was beat him out and take the job after 3 games. In 2016, John Franklin III was brought in from Last Chance U. to take the job and be the next Nick Marshall. All White did was beat him out and take the job before the season even began. So yeah, he's probably a little pissed off and a bit of a malcontent at this point. I hope he gets cleaned up and transfers to somewhere he can flourish and as a bonus, maybe it'll be someone on Auburn's future schedule so SW can get a chance at some payback.

If that's what he did, then I am wrong. I never heard it mentioned that he stopped working towards getting better. All I heard was Stidham was going to come in and save the day. My apologies.

SW's off the field issues have been a thorn in CGM's side for well over a year. To accuse Auburn (football staff) of carelessly throwing him side and not making every attempt and resource available to the guy is idiotic.
Agreed. That writer doesn't know what she's talking about. White has been given plenty of counseling, and he will continue to get help as a student if he wants it. He just won't be a part of the football team.

LSU-Auburn is literally going to be two teams trying to out dumpster fire each other.

Y'all keep preaching how good Stidham is, but I haven't seen it yet. 11 sacks against Clemson? 24-10 over Mercer? I think White could have done the same.
All I'm saying is White has done everything asked of him and now after the 3rd time he's been benched for someone supposedly better (and this time, probably is) he's pissed off and making bad choices. It's too late for him to transfer, he's not even getting mop up duty, and now he's been kicked off the team. No wonder he has some personal issues to deal with. He made the bad choices himself and the ultimate responsibility is on him, but the football staff doesn't appear to be helping him out any.

SW's personal choices go way back before the JF3 or Stidham acquisitions. He had multiple opportunities to get his off-the-field shite straight and work on being a leader and set an example for his team.
The patience & resources provided to SW by the coaching staff (CGM specifically) for well over a year had nothing to do with your allegation that he all of a sudden became malcontent due to Stidham coming on the scene and proceeded to go off the rails.
Now, I'm sure his pride and ego have taken a hit or two due to Gus' issues at the QB position the past couple of years. But this shite Sat night was at minimum his 3rd strike. He's one day removed from serving a 2 game suspension and he somehow gets his arse arrested on the streets of Auburn at a time when the whole damn campus was intoxicated after a win?
White did not do everything asked of him, if he had done everything his coaches were trying to drill in his thick skull then he would still be on the team.

Sean White had failed at least one drug test every year he was on campus and was actually suspended going into the 2015 Arky game in Fayetteville but the suspension was lifted because we frankly has no chance of winning without him. Coaches hoped that would scare him straight but it obviously did not. He received plenty of help to fix his off field issues and was given a chance to get healthy this year to compete with Stidham although he really did not deserve that chance. Stidham is lights year better than White and if given time to throw the ball he is incredibly gifted. He has issues like most inexperienced QBs but his talent to throw the ball is undeniable. Unfortunately, I don't think Gus will keep his hands off and will ultimately get Stidham injured ensuring we play Bama with our 2nd or 3rd string QB for the 3rd consecutive year.

Sorry we do not have a safe space for him. Best player plays.
And dont blame his bad choices on the team. They are solely on him
I have no quarrels with White. He is a good kid and a gamer but he was never the guy to run our offense. He was just the best guy for a short time. Now there are two other guys who are better.
Life is tough. Not everyone gets a trophy
