I hae no idea if dyer needs jail time. I'm not really sure what he even did this time

so he did get pulled over with guns and weed? That may deserve jail time

What I was referring to as dumb is saying we should just lock up drug addicts and be done with them. Guess he's never had a family member addicting to something. And calling someone who smoke pot a drug addict feels a little, I don't know, outdated? Sounds like something out of reefer madness

I agree. That is dumb.

It looks like he got pulled over with a gun and weed and the cop warned him and let him go. It now seems as if the cop is being investigated for letting him go.

Cop should of executed him be because he is a drug addict. Or maybe he let him off because it was a God thing, I'm sure Eugene and Trooper are still praying for him as an ex-fambly member.

Yes. Hopefully, he can find his footing somewhere.

Nicely done. Subtle and succinct.

Person who talked to the State Trooper (who has been fired, it is said, for turning off video camera) says Trooper said less than 1/2 gram of pot was on the passenger's person, and gun was locked in trunk. Since neither person in vehicle had prior records and were college students, he confiscated gun, threw away (I guess scattered it in the ditch of something) the pot, scolded them and sent them on their way. Trooper supposedly did not know who Dyer was since he didn't follow football. Oh, Dyer was supposedly doing 96 in a 70 so I think he did get the speeding ticket...
This is all hearsay from a caller to a sports show on radio in Arkansas that supposedly had talked to the (ex) trooper not 10 minutes before calling.

Hold onto it for about 10-15 years, and then it makes a great ironic old-school jersey.

I had sincerely hoped that Michael Dyer would stay out of trouble and have success (whether he played or not) at Arkansas State. The guy just doesn't appear to have much common sense, which apparently isn't that common nowadays.

This isn't the first time he has made a spectacle of himself in public while at stAte. When a cop who is trying to "hep" him allegedly loses his job over the incident, it's time for him to move on. Driving 96 mph is going to get negative attention, weed, gun, or not.

Obviously no 'common sense'. Of course, it's not wise to travel with weed, but you are just AXING for trouble driving that fast with weed in the car.

Even though it wasn't much, and was supposedly on the passenger - I have to assume Dyer knew it was in the car. Or even if Dyer DIDN'T know, the passenger ought to said 'hey. uhh.... I don't think we need to get pulled over for anything...'

According to the radio this morning, there is video and audio of the stop. The Arky State Trooper is telling Dyer he really put him in a spot for getting caught, because he knows star athletes and coaches have certain deals they work out and he isn't sure how to handle it. This guy is gonna be fired. And from what I heard, which was bits and pieces.. this happened right after Malzahn was hired, back in March I think they said.
