It really doesn't, Hopefully Bill Byrne will grow a set and come over to the SEC. If they do, that should be another game that Texass won't have to worry about losing.
How did it feel to lose to your lap dog, the Ags?
If Texass is lucky they'll run off the Boomer Sooners and then you'll be able to dominate the Big 12-2 again.

Sucks when your own lapdog kicks the crap out of you in your own house doesn't it?

Texas fans are just scared to death of letting the SEC into their backyards to recruit. They hide behind the absolutely laughable idea that SEC academics are beneath them as a cover for their cowardice. Seriously, how the frick is the Big 12 any better academically than the SEC???
Vandy > Texas
UF > Texas A&M (slightly behind UF)
UGA > Mizzou (close, but still behind)
Alabama=Colorado (I'd give UC a slight edge)
Auburn=Nebraska (I'd probably put Auburn a bit ahead)
Tennessee/USCe=Kansas/Iowa State
and so on and so on.
In short, the SEC is slightly better academically overall than the Big 12.

What are you basing those comparisons on exactly?

We really aren't. Like I said before, the state of Texas produces 400 FBS football players a year. Texas will have no problem getting 20 good ones no matter what conference A&M is in......

SEC will not come back again with an offer
i disagree completely. there is no room for "emotions" in negotions such as these. the texas TV market would generate another offer in a heartbeat. the problem would be team #14; to continue the lucrative CBS/ESPN contracts team #14 would need to have a strong TV appeal.

Texas A&M missed the boat with the SEC and it isn't coming back.
The SEC isn't going to screw up the perfect business model (12 teams) to accommodate one team from another conference.
The ONLY way Texas A&M has a shot at joining the SEC is if all conferences expand to 14 or 16 teams.
Sorry Aggies, it's not happening anywhere in the near future if ever. It will go to NFL style playoff system before every conference has 16 teams.
OU and Texas aren't going anywhere they dominate the market of the Big12-2. OSU, Baylor, K-state, Kansas, Missouri need the Big12 badly so they are "Yes" men. You do realize this is the old Big 8 and SWC business model that made OU and Texas elite. They are jumping up in down with a perfect situation.
Sorry Texas A&M is on the outside looking in for a very long time.
While I'm at it.
Arkansas, 40-23 all time record over Texas A&M.
LSU, 27-19 all time record over Texas A&M.
You Aggies sure you even want to try to compete against us in the West, ha.

The Big 12 is headed into football TV negotiations in the spring with Fox Sports Net, which controls the cable distribution of games, and the word when the conference was held together last summer was that Texas, Oklahoma and A&M would soon pull down $20 million annually from new deals and the others in the $14-17 million range, substantial increases from the $8-$12 million they currently earn.
Everybody's going to make more money. Texas is going to make more, $15 million a year more.
As for the fairness of it all, the Big 12 has never shared revenue equally like the Big Ten and SEC. You don’t have to like it, but in the Big 12 schools make peace with it and like so many did during the 2010 football season relish victories over the Longhorns.

If you guys would not bring the yell leaders i'm all for it. i don't want those guys getting any more air time on sportscenter than they already do. I know its cool to the aggie fans, but it ranks #1 in terms of gayness to everyone else in teh universe.
Seriously, get rid of yell leaders, and we will welcome you with open arms.

not this shite again... Catch up to a couple months ago where Beebe said the Big 12 didn't have the money to pay A&M, or OU for that matter.

20 years ago when the SEC expanded from 10 to 12 we targeted two schools, specifically Texas A&M and FSU.
FSU was an independent in football (I think they were in some conference for other sports) and Texas A&M was part of the Southwest Conference.
Bowden controlled FSU and didn't want to become part of the SEC for fear of losing his power... Bowden wanted to play patsy schools every week to gain standing in the polls (no BCS back then), not SEC schools. Hence, Bobby Bowden and FSU and snubbed their noses at the SEC invite.
Texas A&M was afraid to break with the Southwest conference and turned us down. BIG MISTAKE.
So to both of them I say FU.
In the end we took Arkansas (from the Southwest Conf. anyway) and South Carolina.
The Southwest conference collapsed and FSU ended up in the ACC.
Personally I'd rather not have the SEC expand but eventually it's going to come to pass.
I think the conferences will eventually split/merge to become mega conferences of 16 teams or more.

Aggie corps and traditions are odd.
But in all honesty, Aggies in general are good solid people.

I would be very much in favor of TAMU to the SEC.

I don't really want to see it. I like the SEC as is.
I especially don't like all this talk about adding 4 teams, A&M, OU, OSU and Mizzou.
Even though that would set The Flagship up as being the keystone holding it all together geographically and would make for some good close road games, the idea of it kinda makes me ill.
I just do not want.

I can't believe I am stepping up to defend the Aggies but this is wildly inaccurate. When the SWC imploded, it was Texas state politicians who kept Texas and A&M from doing what they really wanted. It happened again this past summer. It is the reason A&M won't join the SEC any time soon.

Which though it was a rough 15 years I think our University has finally realized what it'll take truly compete in the SEC, thus elevating our program to a place that I don't think we'd even be close to if we had stayed in the ACC or Indy.
More to the subject though
