Jeff Brohm would be a grand slam hire. He would end up being a nightmare for everyone else

Please, please, pretty please offer Lane. He will publicly humiliate you with his epic spurn. Please make it happen Mr. Currie.

good thing message boards are like the national enquirer. the truth is not really important. you have ZERO idea what has gone on between UT admin and the coaches agents.

I really hope UT gets lucky as I know many, many UT fans and like them. and the SEC EAst really needs a strong UT. coaching searches are all about LUCK and TIMING. so far, UT has had poor luck but it ain't over yet. y'all may have to abandon the "big name syndrome" and hire an up and coming mid major guy or, like MSU, a coordinator. those guys often work out well.

Morris wouldn't be the worst hire.

I wanted Moorhead >>> Venables/Pruitt/Morris for our opening TBH. And I actually think Morris was maybe the second best option there, Venables is awfully promising too though.

Any of the above are better hires than Les. You know what his ceiling was at LSU, with an unparalleled situation. He would certainly top out less than that at UT and that isn't good enough for you guys.

Lane has said publicly that he wants to come back.

Les called us on Monday to let us know he's interested.

The Vols could use a manly-chested pair of Lesticles.

I'd take Schiano over Les at this point in Les' career. I keep hearing Les this, Les that. On here and from my friends IRL.

This is similar to the Chavis situation. We know more than you all, because we are the LSU fans who watched every play of every game, listened to Les' radio shows, followed recruiting, read were former players say, etc etc..

I'm telling you; Les Miles is not the coach you want at Tennessee, unless you want to be a perennial 8 win team. He couldn't get it done with top 5 classes every year in a talent rich state like Louisiana. He would be a disaster at UT.

So we get what we deserve for not wanting a guy that may or may not have seen something sick and didn't do more. What if Tennessee hired him and then something came out. It would be Tennessee's fault. If we hired him the state ran media called ESPN and fans like you would've piled on us saying how could we hire a man with this kind of history. We've been through a lot and didn't need potential baggage.

Would you have hired him not really knowing. Could you go to games and sit there and not know if your coach was involved in the worse scandal in sports history?

1) What would "come out"? You don't think that in the decades after his time at PSU he's been thoroughly vetted at every stop he's been? What could possibly "come out" in 2017 that wouldn't have come out already?

2) What if he was your best option, and due to the fans storming to twitter to sully his reputation and get him fired before he was hired you have to settle on your 14th option beign some coordinator at some MAC school?

Yep we're literally dying inside. Thanks for the sentiment you guys get it. The majority of Georgia fans seem to be the only fans delighting in this.

I see the point but imagine being Greg and knowing youre innocent. Losing job opportunities for something you had no part in. We'll never know 100% but if he is innocent i feel bad for the guy. If he isnt, fk him

Les already reached out and that's when his good buddy Gundy was hot and heavy. I'm guessing Les doesn't want it right now.
