Read this

Colleges can start paying athletes directly immediately. Paid Internships can be sponsored by any company, individual, or the school itself. All the athlete has to do is ask or be offered. In a few weeks schools themselves will start offering paid internships. You are CRAZY if you don't recognize the damage this will do to college football immediately.

People have wanted to blow the NCAA up for decades now.
The day of reckoning is upon us.
It's time to blow the whole thing up and start over from scratch.
Eliminate every archaic rule.

They can make money from new NIL rules but that won't stop them from opting out and getting ready for the bigger payday of professional sports.

Coaches are no different, with these rules, they are all in for the payday. Coaches today are mercenaries, in it for the next big gig. These rules threaten their livelihood and the big dogs will become even bigger while the teams chasing them try to keep up.

An equitable playing field is thrown out the window going forward. The fan reaction will be the key and how many say enough is enough.

Since the NCAA is being seen as an employer now, does Title IX still apply?

I wish someone would "enslave" my children with a free education, tutors, room and board, food, etc. That's absolute bullshite.

Mostly because they are dumb, don't realize what the NCAA actually is, and as usual never begin to really look at the consequences of their narrow minded actions.

This won't affect coaches pay. It may possibly undermine the coaches authority when the kid is more worried about fulfilling his Nike contract than studying the playbook, but coaches salaries are still going to be high.

I don't have high hopes. I never seen people mention all the scholarships they create, the money they spend for them, or any of that. It's always just revenue and coaches salaries.

Personally I am working on other things to do now that I am not going to waste so much time watching sports.

My list so far:

Arrange flowers

Bird watch (put a small birdfeeder outside a window)

Cook or bake

Craft or work on an art project

Draw

Doodle in a coloring book

Enjoy a cup of tea

Fill out a crossword puzzle or Sudoku

Garden

Go for a walk in nature

Have a picnic in your living room

Journal

Knit

Learn to play a musical instrument

Listen to music

Listen to a podcast or audiobook

Meditate

Pamper yourself with a beauty treatment

Play a board game

Play with your pet or take your dog for a walk

Put together a puzzle

Read a book

Sit on your front porch to get fresh air

Skype or FaceTime with a loved one who lives far away

Snap photos around your neighborhood

Stargaze

Take a bubble bath or long shower

Take a class for fun, such as art, cooking or photography

Volunteer

Write a letter to a friend

***Remember, it’s okay to start small.

Yes, this will be the nail in the coffin, unfortunately. Tax dollars are also spent at these schools.
