2017 UGA -4.5. UGA 31- MSU 3
2018 UGA -7 UGA 36- UF 17
2019 UGA -6.5 UGA 24- UF 17
2020 UGA -3 UGA 28- UF 44
2021 UGA -14.5???

You win money if you bet the same amount on Kirby every year.

If I had to say which team from 2017-2020 this one most reminds me of, I'd say 2017.

That 2017 Mullen team gave Bama a scare, too FWIW.

I think you’ll be able to tell where this game is headed at the end of the first quarter. IMO this Florida team is on the brink of laying down. If UGA comes out hot, then I think it could get ugly. If UGA comes out like it did against Kentucky, Florida will cover.

And FWIW, in all 4 games they’ve coached against one another, Kirby’s team has been up by two possessions in each before Mullen’s team has scored. Three of those times it happened in the first quarter.

I expect that game to be ugly, and over by halftime.

I don't know how you can look at his record against the Top 25 and consider him a big game coach.

Agree. We need a good start or it'll be ugly. If it's like last year where we're down 14-0 quickly it'll be a blowout.

If we can get a decent start it'll be a real close game to the end IMO. Obviously beating Georgia is all we have left, so if we can get some confidence early we'll be really dangerous.

From what I remember of him at MSU....he would always win the games he was supposed to win...and lose the one's he's supposed to lose.

Only time I remember him beating a higher ranked team was that one year against LSU. Other than that you could have made millions just betting straight up on the higher ranked team.

ETA: He does get credited for temporarily elevating that program. MSU was underdogs less and less as the years went on.

Doesn’t matter which Gator QB plays, their OL will be their undoing.

Gators lack depth on the OL & they’re all dinged up. Each has sat out series with minor injuries. They not playing as well as they did to start the year.

Also, Emory Jones leads the team in rush attempts & yards. Bad idea vs GA. Bring body bags UF.

38-12

Seems like the reputation of Mullen being a big game coach comes in large part from overperforming expectations against, but still losing to, Saban.

Mullen actually had a really bad record against more talented teams at Miss State. Would occasionally pull the upset but still came up short in many games even when they had Prescott starting. He is good at designing plays to attack a defense and it really shows when he has a top level QB to make the passes. With Franks starting (his own crazy choice) Mullen looked pedestrian with the play calling but with Trask he looked like a genius.

UGA will get Mullens best shot! UF will use a lot of misdirection and trick plays to try and get the UGA D out of sync and off balance. Hell, he will probably try that flea flicker play UGA burned him on when he coached at Miss St.

UGA should win, and by a large amount! I think Kirby hates UF as much as Spurrier hates UGA..This game has been circled for a looooong time.

CRAZY shite can happen in this game!

This. Plus Auburn and A&M was outstandingly overrated that year. I will give him credit for that LSU win.

I wouldn't say that. Down against Bama, fought back to within 2. Down against LSU, fought back there, too.

Horseshoes and hand grenades. Dan’s whole thing is keeping it close and scheming up a few plays to make himself look smart, maybe we’ll beat them in total yards

Ah I missed what comment you were replying to. Yeah you’re right but it’s a lot easier to fight back when you’ve still got something to play for
