LSU fans are trying to bring Troop down because we actually have somebody that can recruit the state of Louisiana now and we've plucked some of their best players from the state. LSU fans can't stand it, so they make up the convenient excuse that Trooper has to be paying these guys. Oh, and because he's black, wears a backwards hat and waves a towel around to get the crowd pumped, he's automatically a thug.

Yea,Auburn is just taking La boys left and right. Taylor looks and acts like a piece of crap. Sounds like his son his a chip off the old block with his attempted lawsuit.

Keep him. He makes y'all look stupid.

They were better athletes and had more natural talent than anyone we have now. Of course our coaches have only had 2 seasons to recruit and coach WR's so I don't think that is a fair judgement.

I'm pretty sure the rest of the world feels the same way about LSU and their HEAD COACH.

I don't follow the recruiting stuff close enough to know about shady dealings or what not. But I do know that Trooper Taylor's units have flat out produced everywhere he's been. Message forums nerds may not like him but the players that play for him love him and I guess that's what really matters.

Trooper seems to be good at the recruiting side of things, but it all honesty Auburn fans, what do you think of him suing the Auburn School System about a policy that had been in place almost longer than Trooper has been alive???

That just seems kind of crappy to do out in the public you know.

Stuns me how well this guy can recruit. Who in the world would have thought a guy who wears his hat backwards and talks slang could recruit so well.

Auburn fans are like ostrichs....put your head in the sand and if you don;t know about anything shady happening it must not be happening.

The question was asked if yall are concerened they may be shady and instead of just answering the question HONESTLY yall elude the question and put it all on the LSU fanbase. FYI LSU fans are much more concerned with Bama than Auburn. So what if yall have gotten some La recruits...we have recruited your state also.

Wait, so two parents don't like two of our coaches and that means they are sketchy? Some people just don't see eye to eye and it happens. Considering how many people these guys recruit, the fact that only one family has come out and voiced disdain for each guy (lattimores for Luper and Robinsons for Trooper), i'd say they aren't sketchy.

To the "sketchy" dealings that people tend to contribute to Trooper in the past, nobody has been able to point to any actual evidence about them. All they can say is rumors about this and rumors about that. (wasn't bama paying players out of Gadsden?) I guess that makes saban a thug? If they are as bad as people are saying, then it should have come out by now or will soon but i'm not holding my breath since I know both of them pretty well.

Onto the original question. Trooper is a great position coach. What he has been able to do to our receivers has been miraculous and he is definitely a player's coach ( much like Muschamp). Luper is hard to get a read on as a coach, but he has had 2 1000 yard RB's the past two seasons so who can complain.

I wasn't a big fan of this, but it is the world we live in. People sue left and right now a days and its dumb, but that doesn't make Trooper a bad person for doing it.

Whoever was talking about how amazed he can recruit wearing a hat backwards and talking slang a crap..... Have you heard most of your players ever give an interview? If you don't like him because he wears a hat backwards, waves a towell, and doesn't speak like an English nobleman, then you really have problems.

Both of them are overrated as recruiters and underrated as coaches.

Not to play the race card, but I think people see young black guys with energetic personalities and just assume they are "hired hands" to attract and cater to certain types of players while other coaches do the heavy lifting in terms of Xs and Os. But that's far from the truth.

Luper in particular is heavily involved in putting together our gameplan. He's also in the press box during games feeding playcalls to Malzahn down on the sideline. Granted GM has final call on the play, but Luper is very involved. And Trooper has been istrumental in jump starting our passing game. He's a good position coach.

Great recruiters. Trooper seems to be a good coach too, he definitely gets the most out of our WR's. Darvin wasnt shite in 2008 and has been all conference the last couple years

Trooper couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. You'll never see him on the sideline working the chalk or coaching kids up.

Trooper is one helluva recruiter and cheerleader. He'll bring in the players to win championships..........till you have to forfeit them.
