The high points are that she was named as a defendant, along with members of the LSU Board of Supervisors. Says she doesn't know of anyone that has been served yet

Doesn't know if their lawyers will be admitted by this specific court, that will be up to the judge

She says the 1A lawsuit is "garbage", the only SEC school with Constitutional rights is Vanderbilt, all others are arms of the states

This hearing is for the SEC to obtain a TRO vs Murrill and others, to prevent them from obstructing Thursday's vote. Murril says no one has tried to obstruct the vote and it would make no sense to do so because of the SEC bylaws. She believes this objection narrative may be an attempt to ensure that they litigate in Alabama

She says there's no evidence that LSU actually did anything, all the allegations in the pleading are from second and thirdhand news stories or somebody on Twitter saying something, no real evidence of anything

They did hold 2 roster spots open, which other schools have done, and it isn't a rule violation

Says there will be a lot of potential consequences if the SEC chooses to expel LSU but that's a different conversation.

Says this is a new system, and the SEC is still trying to operate like it's the old days when you could just punish a school without financial implications for players because the schools were the only ones who made money

Is the SEC also an arm of the state?

Will not matter at all when presidents are voting. It's not a court of law, it's about what they think LSU's direction and principles moving forward will be.

It's not about the old days, it's about the SEC being able to define its own standards separate of the NCAA's legal ruling. The SEC is not bound to anti-trust like the NCAA.

I have been told here many times that the SEC is just an extension of its member institutions.

No doubt, the SEC is responding to what it feels, not actual fact. Sankey admitted as much in his hearing.

We'll see

It's 2026. Louisiana even lets black people hold office.

It serves them, that doesn't make them a government agency. That's ridiculous.

That's all that matters when it comes to the vote. Everyone knows what Kiffin and Wade have been doing and pushing. Trying to make claims of "evidence" don't mean anything when it comes to these votes.

Dumbass AG ratcheting up the rhetoric when she should be trying to create calm. How about some self-reflection La?

And the appropriate action is to hold a vote against LSU?

What the hell are you talking about. Are you implying that athletic conferences don't have to operate within standard legal frameworks like the Sherman Antitrust Act?

Just repeating what she said. Unlike you, I will defer to the actual attorneys.

Yes.

Everyone knows because of these media reports and Twitter posts. Those are always right.

For sure.

The AG was named in the lawsuit.

Stop signing your posts like it's an email. It makes you look like an idiot Rodo.

Yep. They are handling this as poorly as it could be handled at every turn.

I mean she was literally named as a defendant in the case today. Fight fire with fire.

You stumbled bigly on this one because it’s the case killer. Boom.

Bro, if the presidents vote LSU out, this will end up with judges and attorneys. Nobody is going to just let this blow over.

Apparently.

That is correct. The SEC is only 16 teams among hundreds of teams. They have no monopoly on the sport, are not trying to change the rest of the NCAA and they are a voluntary organization who just wants to have the freedom to choose who it associates with.

After listening to that, she's done her homework. The individual member schools of the SEC should think long and hard before they proceed with this. The risks (to the SEC and the individual institutions) of backing down are much lower than the risks of taking this to court.

This is not true though. So you are ignoring the most important thing you stated.
