Yes Baylor player and any European professional player. Auburn has one on their roster. There are currently 25 professional players playing college basketball now.

The temporary order certainly states that. You have no idea what you're talking about, as usual.

Quit being dishonest. Is there another example of a player leaving college, entering the draft, playing pro and returning?
You're correct. I don't think one case has had all of these things together.
The reason Bediako's case will at least be heard and argued is that all of those things have indeed been overlooked by the NCAA in certain other cases.
For example, players have been granted eligibility by the NCAA:
after entering NBA draft
after being drafted in the NBA draft
after playing in the G League
after playing professionally (and for higher $ contracts)
after leaving college and returning even well outside the 5 year window
One thing to note. Bediako was not an American player, but an international player from Canada ineligible for NIL when he left college. Not sure how this is being/will be argued either way but it adds another layer to the case.
All a lawyer has to do is piece together enough of these "exceptions" the NCAA has granted and the picture is anything but "consistent" and it's easy to make a case for the next exception that is at least strong enough to go to trial.

Charles Bediako did not play in an actual NBA regular-season game. Although he signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs after going undrafted in 2023, he only played in the NBA G League for the Motor City Cruise. In January 2026, he returned to college basketball at Alabama following a legal challenge.

NIL transfer. Didn't come out of law school as a 5*. We develop our judges. Maybe give it a try.

Oh my how the goalposts have shifted. Let's just not mention the preseason games he played over the course of two years in the NBA.

That article is simply about the TRO being granted.
Exactly: by a local judge which is how all of these cases are heard. In the district where the player resides.
Well, except for the Indiana football player. His is actually the one case that was not heard by a local judge and that was so Indiana's lawyers could get it farther away from NCAA headquarters.
This thread and your posts in it were about venue and the protection a Temporary Restraining Order provides not about whether any of the cases will eventually be successful.

What are you even arguing about at this point? No kidding a local judge heard it. My post you are responding to has nothing to do with venue. The TRO is just that - temporary. Has no bearing on the overall resolution.

I'm merely stating that
1) it's almost always local judge in all these cases because they are filed where the player resides.
2) A Temporary Restraining Order will protect Indiana, Alabama or Texas A&M from any future NCAA punishment from playing these players while the TRO is in effect. Period. That's the entire logic of the TRO.

Of course the courts rule. A temporary restraining order is just that, temporary. The courts haven't ruled yet or it wouldn't be temporary.

We finally agree.
Once the TRO is dissolved and he's ruled ineligible, the NCAA can do as they see fit to punish a member of the NCAA who blatantly cheats

Don't really understand the point of putting the biggest crosshair in college athletics on yourself for Bediako. Was it just to beat the worst Auburn team in 10 years and try and fail to beat Tennessee? Anyone who has watched their games with him back know Alabama's biggest potential accomplishment this year is maybe an SEC Tourny champ.

Yes. If Alabama plays Bediako for one game when not under the protection of a Temporary Retaining Order they are screwed.
If they only play him until then, they are completely 100% protected since it would be an unprecedented legal system event for the NCAA (of all entities) to attempt to undermine the entire purpose of Temporary Retaining Orders.

“unprecedented legal system event” made me chuckle

It warms my heart that Auburn fans are melting over this because they lost again to Oats and Alabama.
Take away that one win and Oats still owns Auburn. Add that one win and he owns daddy and son
