6-6 Baylor beat 6-6 Vanderbilt in Texas by a single TD. A win but should be expected

6-6 OSU beat 8-4 Mizzou in Liberty by 5 points. An unexpected win

9-4 Texas beat 11-2 UGA in Sugar by a single TD. UGA never recovered from 1st half

12-1 Sooners lost to 13-0 Tide in Orange. At least Oklahoma made it competitive

Congrats on 3-1 but if UGA does not have another LSU type game and Mizzou was more stable it could easily be 3-1 the other way. I was a bit surprised Sooners got two more TD's than I expected but they were held below their season average so Alabama did accomplish what many were unable to do during the season.

Still think the SEC had the better overall conference this season but probably put the B12 in the #2 spot so congrats for that. ACC was only Clemson this year and normal contenders FSU and UL crapped the bed. B1G felt over rated and SEC beat their lead dogs Michigan and Penn State. PAC was just awful this season.

Not sure any P5 conference got above .667 in the bowl season so no real domination by anybody including the B12. Players skipping bowl games may account for this looking back and probably needs to be addressed. For the B12 fans and SEC alters enjoy your trolling in the off season but be prepared to eat some crow in 2019.

If Bama wins, the SEC will finish with the best win percentage among the P5 but be heavily dependent upon Bama to do so.

A win by Vandy or Missouri or MSU (any one of which could have easily happened) would have made it look like another dominant SEC year at 7-4 with a chance to go 8-4 and have the national championship.

"At least Oklahoma made it competitive"

Incorrect that game was NEVER competitive. Every time OU would get within 11, Bama would turn it back on, get it back to 18, then shut it back down.

That game at no point was ever even close to in doubt. Remember Bama could have scored again at the end of the game ....

Can't blame them for bragging about this one. We just did not play well.

Competitive in the perspective of Tide's previous wins

Competitive in that Sooners got more than 2 or 3 TD's

Competitive in that Alabama did not score over 50

Competitive in that Tua was still in the game in the 2nd half

Alabama set a different bar this season, sorry to not clarify better.

We should give the big 12 credit though.

Especially that Texas win...

They flat out dominated GA in every aspect.

Watching that game, there was no doubt Texas was the better team that night. The score makes it look closer than it really was.

I will admit I was very wrong about GA. I thought they would want to make a statement. Turns out that Texas wanted to make it.

Definitely. I mean, we could have won the game.....but they dominated. We scored with 14 seconds left in the game to make it look as close as the score showed. It was a poor effort.

Oklahoma scored on every possession after the first quarter and got just as many stops as bama did. If not for that first quarter of Kyler shitting the bed it would have been a different game. Simply look at the score differential after quarter 1. Bama wasn’t scoring with OU after that and they were absolutely trying to.

I agree. Texas was the better team that night. It shows that effort can trump talent that does not put in the effort.

I would still pick Ga if the game were to played again this week, but I think it is fair to give the Big 12 credit in this case.

I was rooting for Georgia to beat Texass. we don’t give a rats arse about conference record. You have no idea how idiotic it is to root for a conference. Bama/Saban are your enemies not Big12. While you are chanting SEC SEC Saban is racking up championships and laughing his arse off on his way to record books.

LOL. Ya'll actually believe the BS you type huh? TUA threw the ball 10 times in the second half. Bama scored both times when OU cut the lead to 11 and they could have scored at the end. The game was NEVER in doubt! Ya'll are lucky Saban only let Tua throw the ball 27 times. After we were up 31-10 at half, our offense and defense was very vanilla and if you can't see that, you are blind!

BAMA was clearly way less aggressive on both sides of the ball after 28-0. But whatever you have to tell yourself so you can sleep at night is okay with me.

If, if, if.

If a frog had wings... blah blah blah.

Let the B12 buffoons have their moment in glory. God knows they've had little else, aside from a beauty contest, to cling to since Saban reentered CFB.

LOL- okay boss. Kentucky held on by the skin of their tooth and, if not for Franklin being a moron at the end of the game, UK would have been forever known as choke artists. McSorley has a broken foot and still nearly carried the nittany lions to a win. Props to kentucky though, because they have 22 kids on the roster from Ohio. On the other hand, Ohio State could have put up 70 on Missagain in november. And that was against a Missagain team who was playing for a spot in the playoff. The team that Florida beat clearly checked out with all of their stars sitting out the bowl game. I think it’s lame that Karan Higdon sat out because he’s slightly above average, but still a pussy. Congrats to Florida for beating Michigan for the first time ever, I guess??

You can run with the “7 point” narrative. Though it was a 21 point game with 11 minutes left & we were substituting freshman all over the defense. That was the first time all season besides the first REd River Shootout that we were able to get some playing time for young guys.
