The threat posed by Covid-19 is a fricking farce compared to what's being done to 99% of the US population with the actions taken in the name of fear. The economic impact of this will absolutely come home to roost in every facet of life for millions of Americans, and will cause more death and suffering through that impact.

Anyone in the medical industry without an agenda will tell you data is being manipulated to drive the continued fear narrative.

Dude, we know what THE narrative is by this time. Wealth is life to those who measure themselves by the almighty dollar. So people are more than expendable because wealth is threatened. Nothing new under the sun. It's selfishness 101. Read the book?

This is a farcical point of view.

“Livelihood” is essential for life. There’s a reason that it’s called “livelihood.”

God damn you’re stupid. I don’t usually go directly to those sorts of elementary attacks, but wow.

Do you think this wealth is disappearing? No, it’s being transferred from small business to OLIGARCHS like Jeff Bezos.

So...people are just dying from this just to let Democrats win the election? You are a special kind of stupid.

We have a vaccine now. I highly doubt it

So is your summation. I didn't talk about our needs, I was speaking clearly about our wants in life and our determination to have as much as possible. Those who got it ain't sharing. They live uneasy enough each day about losing what they have accumulated and this plague and the ongoing threat of economic lockdown have rocked that belief and lifestyle to its core. So much so that we continue to discuss how life for others is so much more expendable than the consequences.

Exactly. We need a permanent 10 game conference schedule with two non-conference games set by TV networks. NO RENT-A-WINS.

Governments never surrender powers after they seize them. Has never happened in the history of the world and never will. That's why this is such a relevant meme every time you hear a government talking about seizing more power during an emergency.

Other than a complete lack of funds, why would the conferences cancel next season if they didn’t cancel this season?

They won't cancel, but I think OP's point was don't expect 2019 CFB. Stadiums won't be packed. We'll still likely have a shorter schedule. Players will still be getting COVID tests every other day, etc.

I think the biggest thing will be stadium capacity. I honestly don't see it being any different than this year.

I can understand not allowing full stadium capacity, but what will stop players from receiving vaccine by the start of football season?

There is no reason to expect a miracle that will return society to pre-2020 life. At least not by the beginning of the 2021 season. Expect games to be played in empty stadiums, teams to play short handed due to ridiculous covid restrictions, and the cancellation of games completely. Conferences might actually do what they started to do before the 2020 season and just cancel completely. Get used to it.

I think Football will be in a better place in 2021. Schools have shown they can monitor COVID-19, fortunately no Officials, who are older guys, came down with it and had serious health issues, etc.

Vaccines I would think would probably cover at least half the population by July or so, so while there may still be some COVID-19 protocols in place, I think the 2021 season will be a go and have less hickups.

As for pre-2020 life, well, I think that is over regardless, with the way people travel all over the world today via airlines, another virus pops up, it is going to spread just like this one. sort of like Pre 9-11 and post 9-11, it is just the reality we live in some 20 years later from that event.

People quit dying, the vaccine is effective for all, or we don't morph this COVID stuff to the second round of a meaner, nastier, more deadly version, much in the same manner of the Spanish Influenza of 1918, sure, then we will be right back to what is normal.

This will be it. We shall see!

Unbelievable how naive you are.

Quit focusing on Amazon and ask 95% of small business owners in America how they feel about paying their employees in 2021.

Maybe you already measure your wealth by what the government gives you, but most people would rather not stoop that low.

The media and CDC have already begun to lay the groundwork for moving on to mutated stains.

So they're making it up? There is no new strain?

Viruses mutate over time. That's a fact. They've already said that they believe the current vaccine will work with the new strain.

You still have to have SOME kind of OOC schedule, or you cannot accurately judge the conferences

I measure my wealth by the value of life and the people it represents. What's hard to imagine at this point of the discussion is, why you are such a slow study?

Let's social distance -> Covid cases go up.
Close businesses -> Covid cases go up.
Everyone wear a mask -> Covid cases go up.
Only allow 20% at games -> Covid cases go up.
Cancel games -> Covid cases go up.
Enforce contact tracing -> Covid cases go up.
Elect Biden -> Covid cases go up.

I could easily go on and on.

One day we'll realize we've gone insane.
