Now base it on actual losing seasons not including NCAA forfeits.

One #1 recruiting class is not enough, but stacking T5 classes should be, and he is doing that now. I'd like to see something tangible in the next three years when the aforementioned class are upperclassmen
#1 recruiting class in 2022.
How long is Jimbo Fisher's leash?
Is he granted the ability to be very good for 11 more years (i.e. mark richt)?
Or do you make a move in 1 or 2 more seasons if he doesnt win the west?

You realize that is not saying you are 14th in the nation, right? 14 is the number of losing seasons you have had in the last 50 years. That puts Arkansas in 22nd place in the nation.

So you have had the resources for 10 years.
The coach for 4 years.
When does the achieving part catch up?
Idk. It took Kirby 6 years. So 6, I guess?

Kirby won the SEC and played for an NC in year 2.

Two playoffs, 2 NC appearances, 4 SEC appearances, an SEC title, bowls every year - Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Peach bowl victories. And a national championship. All in SIX years.
And 5 top recruiting every year - # 1 or top 3 most years - and a record number of players drafted into the NFL.
Not many coaches can claim this kind of success

Must have been nice playing in the B12. All you gotta do is show up.

If you forfeit a game and that causes you to have a losing season then that is an actual loss and an actual losing season.
Have Alabama fans completely lost all sense of reality lately?

In fairness, Kirby had never been a head coach before.

Definitely hurt you guys. I counted 7 losing seasons in the 90's. That was definitely a lost decade for LSU...
Yeah, and my freshman year started in fall of 1990 - that sucked
Oh, and a 4-7 record in 1989 gave us a nice head start into that dreadful decade.

Just wait till Saban retires! Bama will revert to what they once were!!!!!!!
Once Saban retires I don’t know anyone that believes Bama will become a losing program, you just won’t be the most dominant dynasty of all time, and after observing the insecurity of the Alabama posters on here, y’all will melt down.

jeez, the 90s sucked bad
It’s a shame because I always say I’d like to go back to the 90s… but for everything but LSU football.
Imagine telling someone in 1999 that our next 3 coaches would win national championships

I remember when we beat Illinois in the Sugar bowl Jan 2002, and then driving through snow headed back to BR. I remember wondering what the astronomical odds were of LSU winning the Sugar Bowl AND it snowing in New Orleans. Then I figured that hell must have frozen over, so it all made sense.

quote:Man, please! When I lived in BCS back in the mid-70s everything concerning Aggie football was state of the art except Emory Bellard. The athletic dorm was a replica of a Hyatt hotel, and the least expensive car in the parking lot was a 'vette. Fast forward about 5 years and I was back home in Georgia in 1980 and all the speculation was who bought that new Pontiac Trans Am for Herschel Walker. I busted a gut laughing.
We didn’t have the resources we have today for the last 50 years. Hell we really didn’t even spend much money on athletics until the move to the SEC. Our facilities were way behind the times until 2012ish.

Where's Alabama's 5th?
I got
1984-5-6
1997-4-7
2000-3-8
2006-6-7
Nevermind 2003 4-7
Jameson and Metchie didn't play in any game those years, so shouldn't count.
