Would have been a completely justifiable and reasonable reaction to the ref tackling Stephen Garcia.

If we are being honest with ourselves, that player lived out our fantasy. We can call him a thug and a piece of shite all we want to, but he merely turned our day dreams into reality.

Still...that’s why our fantasies remain what they are. Fantasies. We may envision ourselves doing something like this, but we are usually moral enough never to turn our angry thoughts into action. Clearly this kid has issues.

I'll be honest, I've never once had that thought cross my mind. Not when I was playing, not when I'm coaching, and not when I'm watching a game. Even when I've had to deal with some new officials who were on power trips I never once thought I'd like to physically attack an official. Now, an opposing coach who was being a douche, sure.

Football Player Ejected Body Slams Ref

The guy that wrote that line in his tweet clearly never once watched WWF as a kid.

There was an assault but no hint of a body slam in that video.

There are a couple of refs from the 19 Iron Bowl and this years Auburn/Arkansas that needed to get knocked out too.

I played sports growing up and I coached 4 of my own kids from the time they were tots to when they started high school sports and I never got the vitriol that officials get from people. I watch fans and coaches spit and growl and yell at refs and I feel sorry for both them and the officials.

People really need to focus their energy in the right place.

I work with a guy who intentionally lit up a ref during the play. Everyone, Alabama included, yanked his offer. The only school that took a chance on him was SHSU. He's a detective and an extremely humble guy now.

Did he actually play ball at Sam Houston or did he just attend there?

The Dallas Morning News had a story on him this morning that quotes him saying he is very contrite after the incident. He said he thought he was a hotshot but quickly learned he was not. The Euless school district has allowed him to talk to their players about maintaining your composure.

If I recall the incident happened in a playoff game against Allen. Allen tends to do that to people.

Here is a story from a local newspaper. LINK /

A ref in the RGV should have known better. Should have kept his head on a swivel.

I love seeing players do this!! Put the game in your own hands and anyone who gets in your way will have to fear the consequence! This kid is going places. Wish more players had drive and passion like him! FBS coaches check him out

check out his profile. Biden voter. So no one should be surprised.

Duron was suspended for the remainder of the 2019-20 soccer season after a similar incident occurred during a match on the pitch last year against crosstown rival Edinburg Vela.

If this is correct the team should be forced to forfeit last night’s game. If he did this action before and was allowed back onto any team the school is at fault

If you're Stephen Garcia, how to you not get up from that and yell at the ref until you're ejected?
