Well, if my team looked like theirs week in and week out I'd want alcohol at the games too. It makes sense for the weaker programs to add alcohol to try and improve attendance....

Disbanding divisions would be the dumbest thing we can possibly do, especially if we are going to expand and add more teams.
It would be an unwieldy mob of teams, and scheduling would be ridiculous with everyone only able to play a portion of the teams.

I lived in Texas for about 5 years in the mid 00's and worked with a number of people from the bigger Texas schools. As far as rivalries go I thought it was interesting how basically none of them had anything nice to say about the others whether it was Texas talking about A&M, A&M talking about Tx ...
