I don’t believe anyone has said Georgia isn’t good and it’s just the field? Or maybe I missed that.

You did. It's been said all year. Not that UGA isn't good necessarily, but that were only as good as we are because we play in basically a 10U rec league park. Somehow on every field we play on we are consistently better than the other team though playing with the same restrictions. Weird.

I think people say that to say the numbers that came out are inflated due to the home ballpark, which I think is a very correct statement. It doesn’t mean that they aren’t good or not the best in the SEC or anything like that. We saw what they can do away from Foley as well. It’s also just a misconception that Georgia always plays better home vs away due to recency bias where that was the case some years.

Nobody cared about the size of Foley Field until Georgia became good.
Back when Georgia wasn’t hitting that many home runs no one was talking about Foley Field’s dimensions.

The smaller ballpark does play into it. LSU had to learn how to play at Charles Schwab Field. It’s more of a mentality thing. When games are closer UGA could have the mentality to try and go yard to give themselves momentum and a lead. That doesn’t really work as well as it does in almost ANY SEC park. That’s another reason CWS experience plays a big part of things once the teams get to Omaha.

You'd think we'd be better though with a pitching guru as HC.

Wait. Are you saying other teams are no aware of the ballpark dimensions? That said, we have showed over and over and over again that our left field fence is a full 20 feet further than Alex Box, and out rightfield fence is 16 feet shorter. We have 7 players with 10 or more homeruns and 5 of those are right handed hitters.
LSU fans are fixated on our rightfield fence while your own leftfield fence is a full 20 feet shorter than our leftfield fence.

I have watched a little of UGA this year - have seen plenty of hr hit out of that park - where it didn’t make a diff if the wall was in the next parish - they were gone. How many hr did uga hit on road? I’m willing to bet if you take out midweek home games and do an even comparison - prob gonna show enough to dilute this small park bit.
Awe hell- yall know the drill- we got to say that shite to try and bring yall down! Small park, steroids, rolled - juiced bats- only explanation!!!

LSU fans and facts are diametrically opposed

Yep. I don’t know why we even entertain this suddenly trendy argument. It’s almost exclusively coming from LSU fans bitter that they had a down year.

It’s also about how well the ball travels at Charles Schwab Field.
