Every team that UGA has played at home has hit on a field with the same dimensions. It's not the field.

It definitely plays short but it’s overblown

We hit more HRs on the road in SEC play than at home.

everyone says the same thing until they get to omaha and they hide away never to be heard from again.

That's why the score was 12-13 just now.

Georgia hits the shite out of the ball.. high exit velocity on almost all balls in play, one of the best hitting teams in the country

Foley Field is friendly to batters (on both teams) for a lot of different reasons

Schwabb is a pitcher friendly park and the pitchers at that stage are usually better than most.. which puts runs at more of a premium than other parks

All 3 things can be true.

Your right field porch is pretty asswater I think the rest of the park is fine so it favors lefty hitters

Nobody is saying we will win it all. But the reason the score was 13-12 as because of our pitching is not too great and our hitting is very good.

That said...and i can't vouch for it's truthfulness...but you saw the poster that said Georgia hit more homeruns on the road than at home, right?

Tennessee said the same thing when they got to omaha and their hitting and HR's stopped or slowed down

Well, the left filed fence sits at 350, so...yeah.

That said of our hitters with double digit home runs, (seven of them) 5 of them bat right handed.

Again...nobody is saying we will win it all. That said...home runs could also slow down because you are facing much better pitching at Omaha.
I have absolutely no doubt though, if we do not win it all, you all will be back here claiming it was because of a small ballpark.

Now. Who's team are you a fan of and we can compare the dimensions of the two ballparks.

Lazy take. They were hitting them well over the fence. They would have been gone in any college stadium.

This. Georgia smashes no doubters, not fence scrapers.

Bull shite. Only 17 of your 62 games have been away or neutral site games. Your making shite up.

Edit, I'm an idiot. You said SEC play. I gonna go back to sleep now.

can y'all stick to a lane please?

"UGA only hits so many homers becuase foley is short as hell"
-well we actaully hit more on the road than at home...
"UGA is on steroids"
-....

what will the goalposts shift to next?

My favorite is after we swept LSU earlier this year when several on the TR thought that Wes Johnson had implemented an elaborate technological sign stealing scheme. Should that be what we're accused of next?

It’s funny because the game winning home run was definitely not influenced by Foley Field.

Big difference this season is we also hit a lot of doubles.... Doubles are usually their for you in a big park and can turn into triples....

Let me point out as an LSU fan, in 2023, we had Skenes (insanely good), and then ... blah, during conference play.

Our other weekend starters were Hurd (ERA 5.68) and Floyd (ERA 4.45). Most of our relievers got slapped around. We had to outslug people.

We hit Omaha, and all those meatballs we served up for homers became flyball outs. Our key relief pitchers came in and pitched to contact, and kept things inside the park (other than game 2 of the finals vs Florida).
I don't think they suddenly improved, I think they could pitch in that stadium and survive.

He’s also implemented an elaborate staff of terrible arms. Blows my mind how many runs Georgia gives up

I won't argue too terribly hard. We don't have a legit #1 starter. We're 10th in ERA, 8th in runs allowed, 4th in strikeouts so it's not like we're bottom of the barrel. You'd think we'd be better though with a pitching guru as HC.

This is the 5th time in 62 games we've given up 12 runs so I mean, it's not like it's happening every weekend

Again, people don't have it in them to not look thru MLB eyes.... Aluminum bats and depleted pitching staffs looks like this and no lead is ever safe in college baseball for this reason.....
