I mean, this is why the NCAA is an absolute joke. They use their police powers to basically create gray areas and enforce the "law" disproportionately from case to case until you have no clue what's going on or the reasoning behind it. Cam sits 24 hours. RS sits 3 games. Miami players sit a single game. Floyd sits 2?

WTF NCAA?

I agree. That's why the NCAA is such a fricking joke. They are so arbitrary and inconsistant in handing out punishments.

but this program needs to be shut down if it's going to get kids in trouble.

This. Then we sue USC for the egregious actions of their alumni trying to take us down.

Seriously though, the organization should have know the rules. Once again, the actual perpetrators are not hurt it's the kid paying the price.

I don't know about RS but the NCAA is such a bitchy slut I would take the 3 games and move on. The bitchy slut doesn't like to be talked about behind her back.

How will Floyd come up with $2700 to repay? From what I've heard the kid doesn't have two pennies to rub together...

I'll defend them. We are talking about a college athlete that signed an agreement to void all extra benefits, but gets 2500 and you think it's legitimized?

IDC the circumstances. Extra benefits are extra benefits.

Keep in mind that Miami players did get one game, but that was just the eligibility committee. The infractions committee is hard at work still, and are the main concern for Miami.

I really believed Emmert would change the culture around there but he has yet to do so. Maybe in time he'll be able to. Or maybe we'll be sitting in four power conferences and the NCAA will be virtually obsolete for all intents and purposes?

Didn't Floyd play last season for UF? Seems to me UF is lucky the NCAA didn't vacate both of their wins.

Mark Emmert's attempt at transparency with regard to NCAA policy and procedures has been a failure thus far. He's been in the public eye took much and gives off the impression that he cares what bloggers/media/radio hosts, etc. have to say about his organization. He too the time to meet with Danny freakin Sheridan for crying out loud.
